What is surprising to me is that it is just a single whale. When I was growing up in that axis you will see bunch/ school of whales just behind the waves swimming westward in one season and another season they would be swimming toward the east.

If we judge by d Physiilogy of a whale fish, what's on display is the Dorsal fin..then it means its a very big whale.
If that's also a Shark, judging from the ripples of in d ocean caused by its movement, we can also conclude that its a big one.
