Kwara Government Reacts To Bandits Video Clip On Abductees by Bobloco(op): 8:56pm On Feb 14
Kwara State Government on Saturday reacted to a viral video clip released by armed bandits on the tragic February 3,2026, bloody attack on Woro community in Kaiama Local Government of the state.

According to a statement by the Commissioner for Communications, Bolanle Olukoju, “the government is deeply concerned over the disturbing video released by terrorists earlier today, allegedly showing some persons taken during the tragic February 3 attack on Woro community.

“As always, our thoughts are with all the families affected, and we reaffirm our commitment to securing the safe return of all those impacted.

“We acknowledge the anxiety that this footage may cause. Government officials and security agencies are carefully analysing the video to establish the identities of the individuals shown,” the statement added.

DAILY POST reports that since the incident, there have been varying accounts regarding the number of persons abducted and killed during the bloody invasion of the community.

“For this reason, neither the state government nor security agencies have announced a definitive figure. Our priority remains the safe rescue of every affected citizen and ensuring that those responsible are brought to justice.

“We have engaged Woro community leaders to assist in identifying individuals seen in the footage. As of now, a few persons have been preliminarily identified from the video as residents of Woro.

"Community representatives have also indicated that more individuals remain unaccounted for. It is important to note that some persons initially reported missing have since reunited with their families, while others may have temporarily relocated to neighbouring communities, including Wawa and New Bussa in Niger State.”

The Government’s response committee, led by His Highness Ahmed Ibn Muhammed, continues to work with security agencies, local authorities, and community stakeholders to coordinate efforts, humanitarian support, and the safe return of displaced persons.

The government assured the public that verified updates will be provided as more information becomes available through proper coordination with security and community leaders.

It urged residents to remain calm, avoid spreading unverified information, and continue cooperating with authorities.

Meanwhile the C-in-C that was part of those who insulted and asked Jonathan to resign over the Chibok girls kidnap of 2014 is in Argungun fishing festival in Kebbi state. What a country with irresponsible leadership.

While Nigerians are being abducted and paraded by terrorists, the Commander-in-Chief is busy enjoying a fishing festival. Apparently, governance can wait, but photo-ops and optics cannot.

The insecurity under the Tinubu administration is staggering. At this rate, even war-torn nations might start sending us condolences.

If resignation was good advice for Jonathan back then, it should be good advice for Tinubu now.

Tinubu is the most evil and heartless president Nigeria have ever witness, what are they analyzing the video for? How did boko Haram successfully carry over 100 people without leaving a trace? Some of the children had no clothes on only wrapper, this is evil and we should be ashamed of this humiliating embarrassment.

Re: Kwara Government Reacts To Bandits Video Clip On Abductees by AMINDA: 9:31pm On Feb 14
Very bland and uninspiring response. Don't forget that Boko Haram said in the video that they are releasing the video due to denials by the government about the abduction. Meanwhile, Tinubu just left Kebbi today. Next stop is Kano, to receive Abba Kabir to the APC.

Very irresponsible government. This is what you get when people rig their way to power with money. They feel they owe the people nothing.

I’ve been without NEPA electricity in my home for almost a week. It makes me wonder how Nigerians endure such hardship under a particular administration, yet still go out to campaign and vote the same government back into power for a second term.

How can 100 Nigerians be kidnapped without swift action from the military or police or even a simple statement from the president addressing the issue? This isn’t the first time it’s happening. We need to wake up, set aside ethnicity and religion, and vote in the right leaders. And if they fail us, we must not hesitate to vote them out. We are suffering in this country, and only those who have lived abroad truly understand how much better things could be.

When we warned them not to bring APC in Buhari first tenure, they said we are religious biased.

Now, this and many are the reasons people like me warned people then but it seems people are too ignorant of what the consequences of their actions can be

Re: Kwara Government Reacts To Bandits Video Clip On Abductees by kaludestiny10(m): 2:58am On Feb 15
This press release is just a lip service statement. The government is going to do nothing in securing their safe release and return. The family members will be the ones to secure their release.
On a second thought, since election is around the corner, the state government may pay ransom to the terrorists in order to score a political point by saying that the security agencies secured the release of those adopted. Nigeria is finished.

In his inaugural speech, Tinubu promised to tackle insecurity within one year in office.
After 3 year's, insecurity have escalated.
For the good of NIGERIANS, Tinubu should not be voted for in 2027.
Truth be told, Tinubu does not have any solution to end insecurity.
He is just passing time traveling up and down.

Recall that your Jonathan was clueless and even in denial. He lacked awareness and was being convinced of realities. He cut the picture of a lost man. Even till date, he complains about how stressed out he was and how he couldn't sleep more than 2hours some days.
On the other hand, the Jagaban and his NSA are working and engaging. They've even allowed your American saviours as you suggested. The way you guys hyped American intervention with guns ablazing. One would assume that all terrorists would have surrendered their lives to God by now.

Why are you hiding behind Jonathan?

Tell us how your preferred leader Obi and Atiku would have handled it better?

Give specific examples what they did while they were in government
Let me remind you+ Corpses of youth floating on the river in Anambra

The flattening and destruction of a whole town by the military (not terrorist o)

Obi was also part of Jonathan government when Chibok girls abduction happened.

While I feel that the federal government has not fulfilled it's statutory responsibility of protecting it's citizens and maintain its territorial integrity, I believe blaming the federal government alone is just being cynical. In a situation where the state political actors sabotage their people, partnering with terrorists to effect this evil called kidnapping who is to blame? Kidnapping has become a business, through which they generate huge funds to bankroll their campaign and fund their outlandish lifestyle while the people moan in disgust. A region openly supports terrorists and harbours them and sympathizes with them sabotaging the efforts of the Central government. What do you say? This is more than a security challenge right now. Kwara is strategic. I truly feel these marauders are trying to grab Kwara by force just like they are doing with Benue and Kogi. All these Islamic courts in the south west, sharia system is just a ploy. I believe they will fail. Help will come to Nigeria
Re: Kwara Government Reacts To Bandits Video Clip On Abductees by Freetech: 5:22am On Feb 15
Why is it that we all forgot that these extremists enter Kwara because the governor decided to encourage them

It all started with introduction of hijsb in all schools including missionary schools.

Government backed attack on other religious sects including traditional religion and their worship centre

On all this attacks by Muslim fanatics no arrests were made rather the governor was justifying it.
