2027: North No Longer Like Tinubu – ADC Chieftain, Kalgo by SlavaUkraini(op): 3:12am On Feb 15
A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Idris Kalgo, has said that the Northern Nigeria no longer like President Bola Tinubu.

This is as Kalgo expressed the optimism that the ADC will throw out the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2027 general elections.

Kalgo made this statement on Saturday while fielding questions in an interview on Trust TV monitored by DAILY POST.

He was speaking on the preparation of the ADC towards the general elections.

“We are actually happy at the ADC because 20th February 2027 is the date when Nigerians will decide. And it’s also going to be a date whereby we are going to throw out the APC govt.

“Tinubu has practically lost support from the North. The North doesn’t like him anymore. The only people from the North who are still with him are his ministers and appointees. They only tell him what he wants to hear.

“He can send them as investigators to go underground to make a research and survey. He will get to know that Nigerians are no longer with him. They are tired of him,” Kalgo said.

No one likes a serial betrayer and deceiver who lacks the ability to honour his own words and then proceeds to call it master strategy. He is also not loved in the South and wasn't voted by the South in 2023. His desperation to have all governors in his party and destroy all other opposition parties will not save him come 2027.

some people actually still overestimate the political intelligence of Nigerian voters, one thing tinubu knows is that every Nigerian voter has a price , and he is prepared to pay the price. the same people crying blood now and saying they wont vote for apc will change tone and tune when it gets to election time and they are offered money, they won't mind if they will cry for another 4 years . Tinubu will intimidate the opposition with his reelection financial war chest which they have been amassing since 2023.
i wont be surprised if tinubu wins massively this time around, the only way tinubu can be stopped is if there is a strong popular revolt or movement against his government with a strong united opposition against him but apart from that he cant lose

Why are you not working to improve the political intelligence of your fellow Nigerian voters?

Do you gain anything particularly useful by having your fellow Nigerian voters not being politically intelligent huh

Northerners generally follow their governors. In 2023, Buhari's body language pointed to Atiku but Buhari is no more, so governors now call the shots. Tinubu is likely to get the biggest win ever that will send Peter Obi into the dustbin of history.

APC had 21 governors in 2023 but Tinubu only won 12 states. Nearly half of those 12 were not even APC-governed states. How many Northern states with APC governors did Tinubu win in 2023? Every single vote he was able to scrap in the North was due to the efforts of the likes of Elrufai and it wasn't because he was a governor. Even Elrufai couldn't deliver Kaduna to Tinubu, hard as he tried. If according to you, Buhari's body language pointed to Atiku in 2023, is it now that the likes of Elrufai are no longer with Tinubu that the North will now vote Tinubu? Northerners will obey Buhari's last wish then. Tinubu should go build a Southern alliance and reclaim Lagos and Osun that he lost in 2023.

It is not money. There's no better alternatives to president Bola Tinubu. Peter Obi is not intelligent enough to handle this country.

Please sir, which North are you talking about? You need to clarify.when it is time for election, North is one but when appointment for positions come, one is fuani or Hausa and the other is igala or yoruba from kwara or kogi, or Tiv or southern kaduna. During election North is one but for appointment they are not Northerner. Kontinue

And he scored more than 25% in almost the remaining ones except south east. Presidential election is not only about win the state but to get statutory 25%. At least 25 governors will produce 25%.

He should learn to speak for himself because the North is very diverse; ethnically, religiously and politically.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu till 2031.

25% in Southern states with exclusion of the entire Southeast by a Southern president is nothing to celebrate. Tinubu only won 4 Southwestern states in 2023. He was summarily defeated by Obi. The North made him president. This is why he doesn't want Obi to he on the ballot come 2027 but Okwute is coming!

You are very funny, Have you ever seen any government at any where at any time that all indices are positive. Even America is facing GDP contraction under Trump and inflation is going up as against what happened under previous administration.

By the same token, the North should tell the Wizard of Adamawa that peradventure he becomes the ADC presidential flagbearer, not a single vote from the South would go to him.

If the North thinks it can upset the rotational gentleman agreement between the North and the South, then the ADC is in for a rude shock.

The belief that the North can singlehandedly decide who becomes the president is erroneous.

The late President Mohammadu Buhari found out almost belatedly that, inspite of his over-hyped 12 million voters, that he still needed votes from the South to clinch the presidency.

The ADC is not thinking straight, if you ask me.

The data shows capital spending as a percentage of total budget over time. Where did you get your GDP data from?

Has Chicago and other American cities been facing shitty, smelling, disgraceful water also since 1999 despite 100 times increase in budget huh

Abi your comparison with America does not include basic government services and public utilities ni?

You're too focused on winning at the state level, you missed why BAT won the election. He didn't win all 21 states with APC governors, but he was competitive in all of them. The ones he lost, he lost by relatively low margins, and except for SE, he got over 25% in almost all states. In the end, cumulatively, he was better than the two candidates close to him, and he more than met the legal requirement of 25% in 2/3rds of the states, which, by the way, neither of the other two candidates met.

This means even if he had lost by having fewer total votes than any of the other two candidates, they still couldn't win because none of them achieved 25% in 2/3rds of the states, and BAT would be in the running for a rerun election.

He's playing a long game, while his opponents are focused on short gains.

If you going to pontificate about North and South, why not at least lead the campaign for Tinubu to balance his ticket in 2027?

Why did Tinubu upset your gentleman agreement on rotation and zoning by tribesmen in sharing the national cake in 2011, when he threw Ribadu and Buhari under the cow 🐄?

Should we also forget how Jagaban of Borgu threw Mulikat Akande under the cow to upset the gentleman agreement in zoning the 2011 HoR Speaker position to Yorubas?

Tinubu rules out alliance with CPC

Prospect of a possible alliance between the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN and Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, was dashed yesterday in Kano as the leader of the party and former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu described CPC as parading “expired leadership.”

Tinubu told ACN supporters in Kano during the party’s Presidential rally that: “What Nigerians need now is a transformation in leadership” as obtained in the advanced economy.

The two-term Governor of Lagos State explained that the leadership of ACN was offering Nigeria the brilliance of Nuhu Ribadu who, he said, is in the class of Nicolas Sarkozi of France, David Cameron of Britain, Medvedev of Russia and Barack Obama of the United States of America.

“What has CPC got to offer? We certainly don’t need expired leadership as we are offering the best in terms of brilliance, courage and patriotism in the class of Sarkozi of France, David Cameron of Britain and Barack Obama of the USA.”

Tinubu’s position came on the heels of Ribadu’s declaration penultimate week in Kaduna when he hinted during a political rally of a joint ticket between the two opposition parties to confront the dominance of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The national leader of ACN criticised President Goodluck Jonathan for shying away from the national debate held last Friday, stressing that”that singular act exposed Jonathan as a coward who has nothing to offer.”

the experiences nigerians have had is enough to teach and educate nigerians on how best to choose a good leader . if nigerians have refused to learn bitter political lessons from past experiences which has happened to them ,then there is nothing anyone can do about that . look at ghana political culture , thempopulace are so intelligent that their politicians know that you cant take the voters for granted .
But in nigeria , in that same place where bandits are killing ,looting and raping places , once it gets to elections time you will see how the same people suffering these hardships as a result of bad leadership will troop out to welcome , dance and even fight to vote for apc ONCE THEY ARE GIVEN 5000 TO 10000 NAIRA .
please tell me how do you think you can change the mind set of people like that? this is a country that voters believe that a bad goverment must complete 2 terms just because of religion or ethnicity , nigerians vote based on three things , religion , tribe and money , the average nigerian voter does noit care about pedigre or track record . it is all about how much is the candidate willing to pay , where is he from? which religion is he doing ?

In summary, you are not willing to find out what works Ghanaians and other peoples did to increase political intelligence among themselves?

Is that because you don’t want the gains from such increase in political intelligence of everyone?
