Restitution:

(1) Did you steal or defraud someone that you can still contact today, repent from sin, apologize to them & restitute. If you have stolen government money, falsified figures, connived to steal from your office etc, repent and restitute.


(2) Have you cheated in courtship or legal marital relationship? Did you commit adultery, Have a side chic in marriage, sleep with your EX or someone else few days to wedding day, have kids as a man with another woman outside your marriage, have kids from paternity fraud, slept with someone's wife, slept with someone's husband etc? repent and make restitution to your partner: and if you are the one who cheated with the partner go and restitute. You can meet a mature born again Christian to assist you.

(3) Gossip and False Accusation: Did you destroy someone's image? repent and apologize to them. Did you intentionally accuse someone falsely? Repent and apologize to them: and if they are serving any punishment because of this, go and confess to the punishing authority etc, that you falsely accused the person. If the false accusation was a mistake as a result of wrong information, still do same.

(2) Did you offend anyone so badly? Repent and apologize.

Do not just rush to make restitutions, pray about it, seek Godly counsel and Guidance before proceeding.

Avoid things that will make you do restitution.

Some sins don't require restitution, but some require restitution.

Forgive those who have made complete restitution to you, not forgiving them will take you to hell fire.

Repent from sins and accept Jesus today.

If you keep a dark secret to the grave that is worthy of restitution or confession, you may be stopped in eternity from entering heaven.

Are you saved by grace or by works?
Doing restitution or any work at all in order to earn heaven will eventually earn you hell.

You do restitution so you can live peacefully with men and not to make heaven.
Whether you do restitution or not if you are saved you will go to heaven however you don't want to live with constant guilt with a secret or with someone else properties and also you will want your witness for Jesus to be demonstrated by your life.
So Doing restitution is about our relationship with fellow human beings.

So a woman living comfortably knowing that her kids is not her husband only shows that she does not have eternal life in her.

You can't restitue all, just do the ones you can. The most important change is change in xter going forward

I have done restitution in the past and still believe in it. However, counsel is necessary to do so. Material things can be easily restored, but some restorations are more challenging than others. Apology and restitution do not exempt you from punishment; be prepared for the consequences. If your confession might negatively affect innocent lives, it's wise to seek divine guidance beforehand. Also, ask God for strength because it could be costly.

No matter how much you give your life to christ, for the sins committed we must pay for the price. You can't say you are new in Christ and still keep sins and lies, you must let it out. Cos you new in christ does not mean you won't pay for the sins you committed on earth and that's what confession and restitution is about. That's why I tell people walking with christ is like walking on fire. It's not a easy journey, it's more complex that Islam. If you give ur husband children that's not his you must tell him the truth and what outcome it brings is your punishment on earth for the sins you committed.

Why do I have to be conscious of my evil deeds when I know that I can always plead for forgiveness and those evil deeds will be forgiven, and I'll go back to them?

David and Solomon were chronic womanizers yet they were God's favorite because they were said, especially David, to have contrite spirits.

Imagine the Constitution been replaced by the Bible, and sworn assasins, when caught, were asked to show remorse and they'll be forgiven and led back into the society.

Not everything can be restituted.

A man who raped a virgin girl cannot restitute anything. Will his apology restore what has been destroyed biologically, emotionally and psychologically? How can restitution be made for a consensual sex?

This is why the punishment for sin is grievous (eternity in hell) because a sin against man is primarily a sin against God.

Rom 12:19:
"Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place to wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, said the Lord."

The aftereffect of Not preaching the Gospel to our neighbour is grievous (eternity in lake of fire), how do you think you can restitute for this?

A man lost his job because you stole his N10,000 which he needed pay for his son's soon closing JAMB that caused him to be desperate to defraud his place of work of N50,000 for which he was caught and dismissed. how do you think you can restitute for this?

Once you genuinely give your life to God or become serious with him,the holy Ghost will direct you on areas to restiture.In a Christian program years ago,a word of knowledge came forth about a drama minister that slept with a girl,got her pregnant and tried to abort the baby and the lady died.God ask the drama minister to go and confess.The lady family need a closure.It will be left for them to forgive or punish him.We cannot restitute for all our sins.we can't even remember all.So we should all be carefull how we live our lives because if no one sees us God is definitely watching.How can you have a child outside wedlock and refuse to tell your partner and you think it does not matter cos old things have passed away.Restitution can be painful and scary but Remember God will comfort you in such time.But PRAY very very well before you go on.

You need to be very careful about restitution and who you listen to about the topic. There are many things the blood of Jesus covers as a result of repentance, such things don't require restitution. However there are sins that bring an accusation in the courts of heaven, like the blood of Abel or Saul killing some people, those things require restitution.
We have to depend on the spirit of God to know what requires restitution. If a man is telling you to restitute, most times you don't require restitution.

You gave a smart answer however, if read the laws you would see that everything is restituable even if such restitution includes the demand of your death such as the person raped or the husband of your co adulterer may demand

Fornication of a virgin does not require restitution because it is not rape.

Forgiveness only turns your face back to God.

Not so, restitution is compulsory and biblical after confession where it's necessary to do it.
