You failed to legitimately qualify rather you want to follow the back door in other to go there and disgrace your country.please allow those serious countries to represent Africa. Great100000: |

If Nigeria was at the receiving end, in Congos shoes many of you wont make this kind of comment. We have not even wont the final qualifying match much more qualified for the world cup. Major11: |

| Re: FIFA Monday Meeting To Determine Eagles’ World Cup Fate by Nobody: 12:06pm On Feb 15 |
We don’t deserve it but if Nigerians were the ones doing that, I’m sure Congo would have protested. So it’s justified! If we win, we win. |

Honestly I'm seeing a long process here which will not favor us. The play offs is some weeks away. After the verdict tmw or looking into. They'll be counter appeal from either parties that may have lost, and this appeals usually takes time by CAS. So before the appeal will be look into, the date of the play offs would have come, so who then will play the play offs. Honestly it's a tricky one. I just hope it favors us sha, even though we don't deserve it |

Great100000:I will happy as a Nigerian if the super eagles can qualify, but as a football fan I won't because Dr congo deserves a spot as they outplayed the SE who played so poorly. As for winning the WC, at least let's us qualify first, that's if FIFA should favour us. |

It's taking this long which can only point 👉🏼 to one thing, Nigeria has a strong case otherwise it would have been bounced from the moment we appealed. We are going to the world cup no doubt about it. There's one Asian country that committed the same offense as Congo and they were withdrawn from the world cup so Congo will also be sent packing 🧳. It's a direct replica of their case. |

insidelife22:If FIFA treats the use of an ineligible player as a serious violation that can determine match outcomes, then sporting justice must be applied consistently. In that sense, if Nigeria was eliminated due to a match later proven to involve an ineligible player, the argument that Nigeria deserves qualification is grounded in fairness rather than sentiment. |

Assuming we win at FIFA Arbitration and lose at playoff; does that make any sense? Make we rest abeg. |
| Re: FIFA Monday Meeting To Determine Eagles’ World Cup Fate by ViceGovernor: 12:20pm On Feb 15 |
You are not patriotic, you should be solidly behind your country no matter what the circumstances may be. Those boys tried , also remember that our new coach took over after the train had already derailed so there was little time for him to imbibe his playing style into the squa. We are definitely going to the world cup. As for that Congo you are talking about, they cheated on the pitch not only did they cheat they also used voodoo, their juju man was on their bench chanting our players names and reciting incantations but God pass them. Our coach also observed it and he complained but nobody listened. They won the battle but they are about to lose the war. judewrites: |

Let's get the nitty-gritty of the matter. The DRC allegedly deliberately recruited illegible players to represent her at the World Cup qualifiers. If it can be established by FIFA that indeed the DRC fielded ineligible players, the world football governing body won't hesitate to wield the big stick against them. On the other hand, if FIFA finds out that the players are eligible to represent the DRC, it would mean that the NFF has no case. In the event that FIFA rules in the favour of the NFF, it would have established that the DRC and not Nigeria is trying to go to the world cup through the backdoor. Laws are meant to be obeyed otherwise they would cease to be laws. @hotseat |

If Coach Eric Chelle did not see anything during the penalty shoot out ,he won't approach the Dr Congo bench angrilly.........(it is left to you to believe it or not, juju exist in football)... If NFF is not sure of winning the case after all considerations with their legal team, they won't petition FIFA.... If Dr Congo officials are very sure they are right, they won't be lobbying FIFA with their man in there.. So,backdoor or no backdoor, the rules must be followed....you play the game on the field either good or bad and also play the game with the rules and regulations. South Africa played on the field but forgot the rules and regulations and they paid for it during qualifiers but God saved them. Anyway,we are waiting for the FIFA verdict.... |

insidelife22:Law is law. If Nigeria has a case, it is justified. Many politicians had occupied seat of the State Governor through law and not electoral success. There are consequences for cheating, if discovered. |

In as much as we don't have a nice squad right now, who can represent us well in the world cup, I think FIFA, in the spirit of fair play, should do justice to the matter on the ground. They say, what is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. If they could use same offence to punish a team in the qualifying series ahead of the same tournament, they should not be biased on this one as well else, the team punished for committing the same offence will protest. They're only waiting for the outcome of FIFA before they act and I'm sure the football body would not want to allow its name to be ridiculed. |

Some comments here clearly show why Nigeria will remain the way it is. People are saying Nigeria shouldn't go.because they don't deserve it but fail to ask themselves if Congo DR wouldn't have done the same if they were in our shoes. Then again, haven't there been times when Nigeria was disqualified over off-field issues? So if the shoe is on the other foot now why is that an issue? If you are showing that you don't love your country don't complain if others hate you |

its not by force to enter world cup...stay at home pay players their salaries and train well and wait for 2030. |
| Re: FIFA Monday Meeting To Determine Eagles’ World Cup Fate by Kimo21(m): 12:52pm On Feb 15 |
shadrach77:youre missing the point. we dont show that we love a country by decieving ourselves..we can only move forward when we tell ourselves the truth and this same ideology that you have is why you have people like tinubu ruling you comfortably...the NFF were not paying salaries..which have course has not been fresh news as it as happened since the days of sunday olishe, okocha them..they also werent playing well but you delibrately left all that just so that you can push PR in trying to make your country not look bad. oga that is not how this works.if they had put in the same energy in WC qualifiers like how they did in AFCON they would have qualified and no one will complain. if you dont play well, youre not going to the world cup finish...all this one youre talking is dogo turenci |
