fitinwell:This your bigoted nepotism is still one of the reasons why Nigeria is so backward and is tilting towards implosion. Ask yourself why is this country still struggling with the provision of basic amenities after decades of independence, because we have elevated tribe over capacity and competency. I would support anyone who has a sound track record, to deliver this nation from the abyss of corruption and bad governance irrespective of his or her tribe. You are a tribal bigot Sir. |

I use to think that Nigeria situation is hopeless until the governor of Abia state Alex chioma otti came in and changed the narrative. That was when I had a second thought that one we might actually get it right. |

Richtaiwo:Can't you see how your Almighty Tinubu that built Lagos has transformed Nigeria you people think is by grabbing power and running away with it. Drug lords shouldn't interfere with governance at least you can tell this to your children so they won't allow the same mistakes we're currently making now for allowing a known druggie to lead us |

Yes, I dare say we should join him in a party that is filled with apc members and hangers on as well as pdp people who still haven't apologized for getting us into the mess that convinced people to choose apc , which is now regretted It would be good if Nigerians rejected tinubu, obi and atiku and voted in a totally new party with no links to the past apc and pdp dichotomy. But the thing is, most Nigerians are ready to defend their own version of incompetent leadership. Be it apc or adc/pdp. Anyway, all that is left is we vote out apc and vote in adc with the hope they do different, and if they don't, we vote them out and bring in apc. That's the only suggestion Nigerians would consider. Change is alien to Nigerians. Even when Nigerians talk of revolution it basically amounts to 'since I can't have it, I might as well use the army and foreign powers to make sure no one else has it' Honestly, most of the people on this site don't want change. Just their own corruption in power be it apc or adc or pdp A pox on all their houses. Nigerians are also not realistic at all. They want a government that would share money to them. Not a government that would take the really hard decisions to make them productive for the world, which is the only way we can defeat poverty and all the problems it is causing. I don't see tinubu or any other of the opposition capable of this. Even the good decisions this government takes are made under duress or because there is no other way, not because of conviction that there needs to be a change. Sometimes I effing feel like I am the only sane man in a room filled with people who don't understand me or are willing to use me as some lightning rod for their prejudiced beliefs. Nigeria needs a leader that would end useless subsides , tax more of the gdp and develop a plan that would attract small and medium scale industries as well as more vocational and technical education. We also need to modernize farming, end cattle herding, better land management and build more rail infrastructure in addition to road infrastructure. We also need to find more money for the army and police and fot god's sake stop relying heavily on oil because we are not effing Saudi Arabia. We have a lot of resources which we sell at prices that do not favor us and which we lose billions in revenue to unregulated sales and lack of industrialization. We could be taking in trillions of dollars just by transforming our resources into useful industrial products, but no, we want to live like the Saudis. We'll see our debt And corruption is such a cancer that I doubt it would end even if we broke the country apart. Corruption is our national job and pastime. Most are on the take in one way or the other. The ten percenters still run the show as they have since the times of our great grandparents. And it is worsened by the ridiculous idea of a national cake. And no one gets punished or death with because na our son. But worst of all is the idea we should have everything for free or very cheap . We've lost four refineries and have a wretched power sector because of that idea. And trying to point it out means you are a government supporter. I mean expressing your belief that a concern should be run at a profit , a universal rule of economics, means you are a government supporter. What kind of thinking is that? And the funny thing is that the people that propose it want to pay for the freebies with imaginary money. Yep, debt results. Nigerians need to get a effing grip, for gods sake |
