Jonathan Inept & A Weakling, Unfit To Be Governor.... - Henry Okah by Biodun556(op): 2:58am On Feb 16
Jonathan Is Inept And A Weakling, Unfit To Be Governor; He Was An Aberration As Nigerian President –Henry Okah

In a statement from his prison cell in Pretoria, Henry Emomotimi Okah, a Niger Delta oil militant jailed in South Africa for the 2010 Independence Day attacks that killed 12 people in Nigeria, has described former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan as “inept and a weakling” and unfit to govern.

Okah’s explosive commentary comes amid his reflections on the issues affecting the Ijaw Nation and the ongoing corruption trial faced by former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Allison-Madueke, in London.

In a letter to the Ijaw Nation titled, ‘Coordinated Attacks On The Unity Of The Ijaw Nation: Diezani Allison-Madueke,’ Okah, who has been detained since 2007 following his arrest in Angola and subsequent transfer to Nigeria, detailed how he was allegedly targeted due to his involvement in the Niger Delta struggle.

According to him, Jonathan, in collusion with foreign and domestic actors, has historically undermined Niger Delta leaders and activists to serve political ambitions.

As I have repeatedly said, Goodluck Jonathan is inept and a weakling who is unfit to be a governor, and as president of Nigeria, was an aberration,” Okah wrote.

Okah claims that Jonathan, during his presidency, collaborated with the British government and then-South African leader Jacob Zuma and current President Cyril Ramaphosa to suppress Niger Delta voices.

He alleges that these actions were motivated by Jonathan’s ambition to secure political advantage and to influence the succession of Nigeria’s presidency.

The activist also warned that the same political tactics appear to be repeating in London, where Diezani Allison-Madueke faces charges he describes as politically motivated.

Okah argued that the British government’s pursuit of Diezani is designed to favour President Bola Tinubu, portraying Diezani’s prosecution as a calculated attempt to influence Nigerian politics ahead of the 2027 presidential elections.

He said, “Diezani's politically motivated prosecution in London is in my opinion a gross act of provocation that should test the mettle and unity of the Ijaw Nation, and which ought to be met with a robust and decisive response.

“It is said that she accepted gifts from individuals which by the British government's estimation is tantamount to receiving bribes. My question to the British government is, are there bigger thieves in Nigeria than President Bola Tinubu and his family whose stolen wealth is exposed in England? If so, why ignore Nigerian political leaders who have stashed away in England billions of pounds of Nigeria's looted wealth?

“What happened to all the loot stashed in England by Generals Abacha, Buhari and their cronies, many of whom are alive and frequent visitors to your country?”

“Diezani's politically motivated persecution in England is hilarious considering that Jonathan most certainly cannot win an election in his home state, not to speak of Nigeria,” Okah stated.

He emphasised that this is not about blind ethnic solidarity but about resisting foreign interference and confronting calculated injustice.

Highlighting patterns from past events, Okah recalled his own detention in South Africa, which he says involved bribery and collusion between South African authorities and Nigerian political figures, including Jonathan.

He criticised the use of foreign judicial systems to target Nigerian leaders and accused Jonathan of participating in similar strategies during his presidency to manipulate political outcomes.

Okah’s letter concluded with a direct appeal to the Ijaw masses, urging them to remain united and vigilant against threats to their political and cultural integrity.

He said, “The British government was previously used by Obasanjo to eliminate Alamieseigha from Nigeria's presidential race and by Jonathan to settle a score with Mr James Ibori, former governor of Delta State who concurrently was by underhanded means prevented from participating in Nigeria's presidential race.

“Clearly neither Alamieyeseigha nor Ibori were morally competent to lead Nigeria, as is the case with Tinubu but what must be found objectionable is foreign interference in Nigeria's domestic affairs.

“Despite the seeming appearance of legality, just as Presidents Zuma and Ramaphosa together with judges in South Africa were bribed to imprison me, the same can happen to Diezani in England.

“Neither the Niger Delta nor Nigeria is a colony of South Africa or the revived British Empire so we must endeavour by all possible means to make unfashionable, interference in our internal affairs by greedy foreign governments and interests whose motivation is the looting of the Niger Delta.”

“As I have done for nearly 16 years, bearing in mind that the governments of South Africa. The United Kingdom and Nigeria utilise thousands of agents to scour the Internet and post favourable comments, readers of this exhortation will do well to consider with caution, negative comments that may follow,” he said.

Jonathan's tenor as a president was actually very terrible. It's only people with short memories that will not remember the disaster of a government it was back then.

This is the most random statement ever unless something is at play. Henry Okah is still in jail in South Africa. Who activated him to be releasing statements from jail and for what purpose? I thought the chapter on Jonathan's aspirations have been closed? Who is afraid of Goodluck Jonathan?

Time for This useless propaganda is long over.

Nigerians at this point Can decide whose tenure was or is actually terrible but trust me, Tinubu is obviously the worst president this country has ever seen since 1960 and that's a fact.
Tinubu made Nigeria a DISGRACED COUNTRY & a COUNTRY OF PARTICULAR CONCERN.

That's your personal opinion and you have no right and will never have right over my opinion dude. As far as I am concerned and I am sure millions of Nigerians will also agree with me , Jonathan administration is one of the worst ever in the history of Nigeria and nothing can change that. If you don't agree, your problem

Actually, I have come to a realisation that there is no point explaining to people like you. It's a waste of time so believe otherwise for all i care. I made my point and I stand by it 365 days a year. Jonathan was a terrible president just a little better than Buhari period.

Millions of Nigerians or thousands of agbadorians?
Jonathan was a weakling yet BH was operating ONLY in the North.
Right now under your tinubu, Bandits are now operating freely in your region. They have currently overran Kwara and are presently in your village.

The point is not whether you like discussing with people with alternative views or not but the subtle misleading of the populace. I agree with you that Nigeria has not really had a revolutionary leader for the past 6 decades. But making blankets statements like these without explanations/facts, is rather a subconscious propaganda against the people who are less informed on things like this.

Nigerians don't like good leaders who respect democratic tenets and systems
They respect thieves and dictators who trample on systems and institutions
I'm sure to this guy, Tinubu that has corrupted the judiciary and submerged the NASS while suspending an elected governor as well as looted Lagos funds for donkey years is the prefect fit for a great leader

Who do you imagine would be afraid of a weakling and a lily-livered man ?
A man who was derided by sane and credible people when in power ?
A drunkard who would drink himself to stupor and sleep off at global summits ?
A man who surrounded himself with the worst vampires in govt who sucked Nigeria dry with the frenzy of hungry hyenas while he watched helplessly ?
A man whose govt became a global reference point in for rabid corruption ?
A man who became a subject of public ridicule by African leaders ?
A weakling who sheepishly have his victory to his opponent out of fright ?

After how many years. Tinubu is even worse, at least under GEJ, any ordinary Nigeria can save his / her take home of N100k to study abroad, buy grade a cars, live comfortably. Even with N800k salary you are poor. You can't visit your home state, you will be kidnapped or killed, at least under GEJ, Insecurity was located to the North East and few bombings in Abuja, which were politically motivated.
People were free to move round the country, but know, kidnappers are waiting on the road, nepotism and the order of the day.

Your view shows you lack knowledge about what it means for a failed government. Probably you were living in the village from 2011 to 2015 and you know nothing about what was happening in both the economic and political space. Na why I no like to dey engage people like you in discussion because your comment already shows you know nothing except been tribalistic and highly sentimental

yet under him Nigeria witnessed prosperity,
Under him Nigeria won Afcon for the first time in over 20yrs
Under him Nigeria became the largest economy in Africa, surpassing South Africa
Under him Boko Haram was decimated and confined to only some LGAs in the NE. If not for tribal politics and propaganda Boko Haram would have been completely eliminated
Under him dollar was less than 200..
Under him Nigerians enjoyed total freedom without intimidation. The list is on and on...

But what do we have today? You be the judge
