Bankers are reading and laughing at you guys
IT remote workers too. There are people working for international social media companies that live in Nigeria. If you see them you’ll think they’re yahoo boys but they’re not

Do you know access bank gives entry level staff a brand new car that is paid for over some years?

So imagine if an entry level staff could do that what about experienced bankers?
Let them keep laughing.

They are given and allowed to pay over time. It means they can’t afford it, cash down. That’s what the lady is saying. Even CBN staff can’t buy it with their salaries.

I repeat: nobody can spend nearly 10 months’ salary on a brand new car in Nigeria.

So are you a banker? I guess not. I understand that you may be trying to encourage yourself that the system works but reality is entirely different from dreams and imaginations. Go to any bank near you, ask the teller or even the operational managers how much their salary is and my guess is they won't tell you because its too shameful considering the amount of work they do.
Before you argue further, if you are not currently employed to any of these organisations that you assume pay these fantastic salaries, do not comment further until you yourself see it with your eyes and not your friends told you or you saw your friends pay slip

Wow.

That means its just 20percent of nigerians that drives new cars!

Or maybe it was then when the country was doing well like in the 90s, 80s that citizens could purchase new cars!
Gbadugbakun:
The price of a brand new car like I said would be based on the car brand. Eg highlander 2023 would be about 120m for brand new.

Camry 2024 would be around 110m for brand new.

99% of auto dealers in Nigeria don't sell brand new cars they sell foreign used. Meaning if you went to buy a brand new car you will have to place the order yourself directly from the company. And pay all the charges involved.

On a lighter note....there are legal organisations obviously that pay huge salaries to the permanent staff .. talk of Oil companies and other big firms in Nigeria...these staff are balling well and will get more than a Toyota brand new car.... Op's take on this is not accepted at all. Anyways it depends on so many features before one can pour out such insinuations.
On the contrary, guyz I'm really hunting for Job, I am a hospitality industry professional (Experienced in Dubai) but I am back to my home country after a four years hustle in the UAE. Visa issue for Nigerians affected me but I choose not to stay in another Man's land illegally so I thought of coming back home with the mission of setting up a small business...But the truth if the matter is that I can't start a business without sufficient capital....so I needed to work more . If anyone has job links or any opportunities where ever...it will be so much appreciated.
