If the objective is truly about protecting children, then why not propose a law that prohibits the sale of alcohol to anyone under the age of 18, with strict penalties for those who violate it? ![]() |

Fenuja must not be banned. Remember the APC are going to share it to constituents as their "empowerment" programme. They need something to campaign with. Nevertheless, it must not be sold to kids under the age of 18. Drink responsibly. |

Even at the bus stops, parks and garages, you'll see them being littered everywhere...Drivers will consume them and start misbehaving endangering ppl's lives... Those drinks are very harmful...if you think otherwise, go buy fresh liver meat from the market, pour 2 sachets of the dry gin on the liver and see the result immediately |

LOL Nigerians sha... So it's the sachet that's the issue, not the alcohol itself? Would they ban plastic bottle alcohol as well? ![]() Half of Lagos danfo drivers have a small plastic of Alomo, Ogidiga, Kerewa, Chelsea dry gin accompanying them on their jouney, so I don't think it would change anything. In fact, the sachet is what is preventing them from overdosing on alcohol. The only advantage the sachet ban has is the environmental impact, cos of less plastic waste, apart from that, it changes nothing. |

I completely support the ban because from experience, those stuffs they package in sachets and sell to people are highly poisonous! As a guy man, I have tried some of them on a few occasions and the experiences were unsavoury! It's better for a guy man to take just a few bottles of beer and chill than taking those packaged poisons! |

All these are just lie, I was a bokku igando last week and a minor came to buy things and also a bottle of beer, The bokku attendant told the minor to return the beer bottle and tell his father to come purchase the beer himself, So parents too are contributing to this, why send u minor daughter to buy beer for u, The next day I worked from home I wanted to buy a satchet of stricker, A very small girl about 7years old came to buy stricker for her mom, immediately I told the seller , if u sell to her I will inform the police, this child has already prepared for school in her uniform and the mother sit lazily at home and tells her daughter to go buy for her, I told the seller, u know this sathet u are selling is about to be banned because of this, Any small child who come to buy and tell u it's their parents, please send the person back home, Minors don't drink but the parents or wards that sends them |

| Re: Ban Sachet Alcohol Completely – Pharmacists Tell FG by sheedy407(m): 10:00am On Feb 17 |
We are not ready in this country Major problem is enforcement FG made a law that okada riders must use helmets and if they enforce the law well,FINE and if they cant enforce the law, does it means that they will ban okada? Sachet drink is clearly written 18+ and enforcement to sellers should be adhered to and not ban |

| Re: Ban Sachet Alcohol Completely – Pharmacists Tell FG by Godmind2022(m): 10:10am On Feb 17 |
It should be banned, not just for children but for all. Government should be at the forefront of safeguarding the health of its citizens, especially for those who don't know what is good for them, even if they are adults. Pharmacists are the ultimate beneficiaries of ill health. To hear that this is coming from them, it really shows their altruism. Kudos to Nigerian pharmacists. |
