HBO shows are basically my weekly drivers now, "The Pitt", "Industry" and "AKOTSK" airing is why i even bother with tv serial lately.

HBO making TV shows??....A fantastic concept since time immemorial...oh they gonna bag Emmys for this generation run they are currently in 😩

HBO been dropping PEAK back to back I'm even wondering HBO's logic dropping 3 flagship shows at once in the same month.... This is a network that was battling shortages of shows for the last two years.

But they look to be on a generational run like you said.... since late last year.

For some reason this episode of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms didn't really move me like the other episodes. I was expecting epic scenes in the fight, I got 'amateurs' slugging it out. Hell, Aerion is a better fighter than Ser Dunk and it's not even close.

Brother was just falling unconscious and coming back like a drunk. The only thing I didn't see coming was that death. It left a sour taste after that kind of victory.

However

Industry on the other hand had my heart pounding like crazy when Eric went on air. I was thinking he might out himself. It was so good. So bad we might not see him again.

Thought I was the only one.... I enjoyed the episode but I find the previous episodes leading to this far more satisfying. Maybe because I already know the outcome. I enjoyed Dunk's childhood memory more and I kinda like that Blackfyre Rebellion tease. Hopefully will get adapted someday.

But regarding the fight, I'd say the fight was mostly accurate and true to life. Aerion is a far better swordsman than Dunk.... the advantage to Dunk is that he's built like a tank and will take far more energy and resources to put him down. Dude's tough.
Dunk's weight will definitely counteract his fighting skill especially when fighting on ankle length mud and pounds of heavy body armor. This is his first major professional fight..... You can't compare that to Aerion a war veteran.

That fight truly depict how heavy and laboured armoured fighting was in medieval times.
Normally, Game of Thrones universe and its fighting styles has always looked unimpressive and unpolished. It lacks the silky smooth fighting style most of these TV shows depicts, because it's actually grounded in realism.
It was in later seasons in GOT that they somewhat improved on the fight choreography. Still can't light a candle to other epic tales or shows in swords skill.

As much as you'd like to see Dunk fight really well, he just can't compared to Aerion. The Targaryen is no minnow. That fight just shows how a fight with all that armour will turn into an armed brawl.

This one no be Achilles vs Spartacus, with elegant swordplay.

Don't start it.

If I could go back in time, I won't have gotten into it to begin with
