pneumatikos:

Re: 2024 Chevron Nigeria Experienced Professional Recruitment by segeranking(m): 7:21pm On Feb 15
Ok as I wonder why such delay.
Andrenalin:
Yes April 19th, but I doubt if anyone has received offer or regret mail yet…

As it is now, it's really beyond the folks here in Nigeria.
Things have been paused for now and will only be reconsidered if the global guys give their support. Anyone telling you otherwise or that folks will soon resume isn't accurate at all.
The wait may be for the longest!!! Just concentrate on other things and pray.
seriousbaby:
After all the wait and stress levels.
It is well!
Chevron, do better next time.
What would it cost to communicate an important update like this and have prospective employees move on.
Re: 2024 Chevron Nigeria Experienced Professional Recruitment by ValeignNurt: 12:16pm On Feb 17
Thanks boss, this seems like a sensible conclusion of the matter.
Just to confirm boss, did you hear this from somewhere, or you came to this based on the happenstance?

This isn't hearsay but an accurate reflection of things now. There definitely has to be a strong business justification to increase headcount when other regions aren't doing so presently. If the recruitment was concluded way before the re-org in July 2025, it would probably have been better.

In other words, there's no credibility to your post, just your opinion based on certain facts?
Anything that makes you happy chief
Re: 2024 Chevron Nigeria Experienced Professional Recruitment by ValeignNurt: 6:04am On Feb 18
Well based on the "credible" sources so far, we were supposed to have resumed August last year.
Re: 2024 Chevron Nigeria Experienced Professional Recruitment by ValeignNurt: 6:05am On Feb 18
It doesn't make him happy, he is just stating the obvious. You guys should stop painting people with a realistic view as negative or bad please.

I never painted anyone negative or bad oga, personaly, I got information from a reliable source in chevron, why the recruitment may or may not be cancelled, he dosen't have a source, he just gave an opinion based on certain global facts, while telling us all to stop spreading false news. So we should leave news from verifiable, authenticated sources and follow his?

Really? Paused or outrightly cancelled? It's been paused not cancelled(I shared an update from a source earlier on). If cancelled, people will definitely get a regret mail.

Oh, thanks boss, for pointing this out. I meant more like paused (indefinitely) than outright cancellation

They pay so well. I'm currently on their Turnaround maintenance going on at EGTL. Even labourers are earning like 1m monthly

Please keep hopes alive especially for those who have done Medicals or FFD as Chevron calls it. You'll definitely be contacted. Some contract staffers were converted recently to core stafffers
Re: 2024 Chevron Nigeria Experienced Professional Recruitment by ExpertNLer: 11:40pm On Mar 18
When was this conversion done?

Just recently. It's an in-house thing. Just few top managers were asked to recommend two contract staffers for some roles. They actually had interview done and some of them were recently converted not all that sat for the interview got converted.

Sorry to sound like the devil's advocate, but how does staff conversion of contract workers translate to our recruitment.
I genuinely want to understand the relationship

You're not the devil's advocate. Your ask is right. I also struggle with understanding the relationship. Everybody with their POV
