The national assembly is now the spokesperson of INEC. Nobody in the Upper or lower chamber cared to invite INEC for explanations to confirm their capability in real-time electronic transmission of results at the polling units. The NASS just concluded it's not possible.

I dont see anything wrong with having a manual backup should the electronic transmission fail. We should stop trying to pretend that our systems are perfect, if i buy a signal jammer and give it to all my agents to ensure that the results cant be uploaded online on the bvas machine, does that invalidate the votes in that polling unit? As much as we want transparency, nobody ought to be disenfanchised in the process. A better plan will have been to add it to the law that the primarily recognised result is the electronic result and every manual result as a result of network issues is subject to revalidation or cancelattion and stipulate the terms of revalidation. If you cant win totally, win marginally. shouting ole is counter productive, think outside the box.
