Hello solar inverter guru in the house, I'm thinking on getting one of the two package, to power the following: 49inches smart Tv 2 rechargeable fan Airtel internet cable 6 bulbs but not all at once 1 18 inches ox fan only at noon A laptop and 2 phones I got the 2 quotation to make a choice: The Tubular Battery Packages. 1kva inverter 240ahms battery 4 pieces of 200watts panel Cables, Breakers #530,000 The Lithium Battery Packages. 1kva Hybrid inverter 2.6KWH Lithium battery 2 pieces of 350watts panel Cables, Breakers #630,000 Is any of the 2 a good choice? |

Unfaized:baba it is not practical |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Unfaized: 8:49pm On Feb 17 |
Gshems:Baba it is very practical lol. I installed this stuff for mumsy last week. Load includes home theater, TV, The smaller 18 inches industrial fan, phone and lights in a 2 bedroom flat and we still wake up with atleast 40% the next day 😂. It's all about usage my bro. The major loads go off by 10p.m atleast. Left with rechargeable fan and outside lights and maybe phone charging some nights. This stuff charges fast even with 1 535w bifacial panel. There's zero grid in the location for now so it's 100% solar. |

Unfaized:to me, issue isn't if it works BUT for how long. Durability matters a lot to my kind. That guy probably works from home. if na before, I for don begin share how to run 90% of his load without inverter BUT person time dey decline as they age. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Unfaized: 9:14pm On Feb 17 |
bassdow:Yes you're right. We'll see as time goes by. My only major concern is the rainy season. If one panel can manage to charge full. But we'll see how it goes. |

rapheal5:700w solar panel will not charge 2.6kwh well. You need one more 350 orr two 550w which in turns means the charge controller should be more than 30A mppt or you shift to 24v Lithium or nothing |

Thanks, I think I will have to source for everything myself. capnies: |

2600/4 = 650W ?? capnies: |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by capnies: 8:00am On Feb 18*. Modified: 9:22am On Feb 18 |
blexxonmak:Have you considered peak sun resistance inefficiency. The panel should be at least 1.5 or more of the quarter of the battery power Be careful a 2.6kwh lithium battery should be more than 400k |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Trippledots(m): 11:29am On Feb 18 |
rapheal5:I sincerely doubt the second package, except they are all used items. Even at that, it's very sus. I can give you Itel power tank with 1*500w or higher watt solar panel (tokunbo or new depending on availability) with free delivery and installation depending on location in Lagos-#600k Only power tank/ panel -#455k I will throw in a free smart socket for you if it's a tokunbo panel that's available. The smart socket works with an internet and hotspot connection and gives you many features to make your home smart: 1. smart monitoring of your loads on your phone, 2. you can schedule timer function 3. You can see real time what your load consumption is and adjust your load to maximize your battery backup time. 4. You can use to schedule charging with grid so for instance you can schedule to charge with grid only at night. During the day you are only on solar. Etc See attached pictures as sample items.

Please is there an experienced installer that can work on slate house without spoiling the slate at Shomolu bariga yaba area? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by rapheal5(m): 12:23pm On Feb 18 |
I've seen same offer for 500k, I guess your smart socket makes the additional 100k Trippledots: |

Please how good is this hybrid inverter and how many pieces of 600w panels(maximum) can it carry plus the rainy period.

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Trippledots(m): 12:39pm On Feb 18 |
rapheal5:That's better. Go for it, then. Infact old like to see the deal if you don't mind. No need being cynical. |

Just lost this boost converter. I removed the follow-come 15A fuse and replaced it with a '15A' fuse I bought in the market. The so-called fuse refused to blow at 30A, so the boost converter blew instead. Even fuses are now fake. I'm tired.

Please, can someone explain how one of these is a PWM and the other an MPPT?

Can anyone kindly suggest a 500watts pure sine wave inverter that is great? From experience. Thanks |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 3:31pm On Feb 18 |
Deluxe8000:YES I'm available |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 3:32pm On Feb 18 |
Tdoctor:both are low grade PWM. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 3:36pm On Feb 18 |
Deluxe8000:you for help us snap clear sticker or give us the max PV, and max solar voltage information at least |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 3:39pm On Feb 18 |
Deluxe8000:According to the sticker, 3,000w / 600w = 5pcs of 600w solar panels. In terms of voltage, the VOC is where one needs be careful so as to ensure it stays lower and not close to that 450voc at all. This is where the configurations matters; though if we to work with 50v, the entire string could go in series hence 5pcs x 50v = 300v . BUT I kinda dislike having high voltage on the roof as any little thing is enough to start a fire hence if I were the one, would be more likely to use a configuration that wouldn't give up to 300v up there BUT that's just mua. |

I observed the last 2 comments above are hidden while I'm logged in BUT displays when on inCogNito mode. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Deluxe8000(m): 5:15pm On Feb 18 |
bassdow:That means it can take 6 pieces of 600w panels. |
