I rebased my portfolio last week.... Cardinal Stone and Truastbanc(cowrywise) really surprised me... withdrawal was swift....

But you see Gtbank and Stanbic....I was forced to send mail walahi.....
If at least, the mail was responded to with a swift liquidation afterwards that's still ok.
I don't understand why some managers choose to employ paper or old withdrawal methods asking you to fill one form after another when that wasn't the case when you are making deposits or investments with them. The automated liquidation like Cardinal Stone and Cowrywise and Co. is still the best.

Stanbic withdrawal is faster than that of cardinal stone. I have tried both. Next time u want to withdraw from Stanbic, use the website, u will receive your withdrawal within few hours.

No one beats Cardinal when it comes to liquidation.

Smattrader:
I have learned a great lesson that, in any investment, your greatest loss or failure isn't always about losing money (most probably at least the pegged +/-10 by Sec) but having your fund trapped or entangled with a manager with a frustrating and paper liquidation procedure.

Liquidation flexibility is as critical as your investment or capital.....this is why and will always respect CARDINAL STONE.

This is from my bitter experience take it or leave it; avoid manual liquidation if possible and always test every manager that's not among the top with little investment and then liquidation and see before you commit big.

Omo I sent CS messages to help me do global search and bring all my old stock to them which I won’t lie is not a lot. CS told me to get a million into my portfolio first before we can start talk. Omo the hustle long o
Re: Equity Investment. by Smattrader: 11:47pm On Feb 17
Zenith(equity) is obviously a big name in the industry but I have an issue with them using manual or old methods for liquidation.

Why should I have to fill out a form in this age of technology to liquidate? Imaoo
Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody:
Bro, some fund managers prefer paper-based liquidation for record keeping, and others don't prefer it. Zenith's MMF does not have a paper liquidation; only the fixed income and equity do. It's up to you to choose whoever you want to go with. Zrosk also uses paper-based liquidation. If someone steals your phone or your email gets hacked, what would you do? There are always disadvantages and advantages for online and paper-based transactions.

I want to go into Stanbic can you share the issue you had with them during your liquidation, what really happened and, what fund/investment ( equity or ?) you were referring to. Asking this question because I am curious and I have been hearing about how solid their liquidity is.

If you observe my message deeply , you will find that paper or traditional liguidation wasn't really what I was complaining about but by position , being how swift they respond or liquidate for you. Who cares whether it is paper or even manual as far as they respond on time and make the process easy for you?

I'm really curious as regards the stocks Afrinvest are with. Been trying to track them but have met a dead end thus far. It isn't publish as did CS and the likes.

The ASI is currently up 0.43%..... however they're up 2.54% today.

Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 1:11pm On Feb 18
Before investing in any equity fund, check their yearly performance; 60YTD should be your target. However, be patient, as it is too early to call a shot for now.

Cool. If you have huge funds, don't forget Zrosk if you don't mind the management fees. Have made 1.6M on my 10.2M capital in just 3 weeks.

Nope, my yearly target is 50%. They did that comfortably last year and were even ahead of CS.

Any other addition is a welcome bonus. cheesy

Reason I've not left Afrinvest despite trailing behind the Zeniths of the moment. grin

I just wonder because when I expect the fund to do really well after keeping an eye on the day's trade, it doesn't. But when I'm not expectant, I get a shocker.
