Hi everyone, After several unsuccessful IVF cycles, my partner and I are now exploring surrogacy. It has been an emotional journey, but we’re hopeful and want to learn from others’ experiences. I’d love to hear from anyone who has gone through surrogacy, whether in Nigeria or abroad. Please feel free to share: • The clinic or fertility centre you used • Agencies, lawyers, or any professionals who helped • Costs and timelines • Your overall experience (good or bad) • How you managed the legal process and travel to bring the baby abroad (especially to the UK) • Things you wish you knew before starting If you’re currently planning surrogacy, you can also share your plans or questions — this thread can be a safe space for advice, tips, and support. Thank you so much in advance |

I never thought I would share this publicly, but here we are. After going through multiple failed IVF cycles, emotionally draining, financially heavy, and mentally exhausting,, I’ve decided to start the surrogacy process. It’s not because I can’t carry a pregnancy. It’s because after repeated disappointments, I had to ask myself how many more cycles I was willing to go through. IVF is not cheap. It’s not easy. And the emotional rollercoaster after each failed attempt is something only those who’ve experienced it truly understand. So I made a decision: instead of another round of hope and heartbreak, I’m taking a different path. I’ve officially started the surrogacy process, and as we progress, I’ll be sharing the journey, the screening, legal side, costs, emotions, and lessons. Let’s talk: How many IVF attempts is “too many”? Would you consider surrogacy after repeated failures? Do you think there’s too much silence around infertility in Nigeria? Is surrogacy strength or giving up? Let’s keep it mature and honest. I’m ready for the conversation. |

As far as the ivf recipient is healthy there can be no limit as to how many ivf cycles per individuals. There is always a reason for IVF failures. IVF failures must be critically evaluated and cause corrected. Many IVF failures have succeeded with use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy -HBOT. Think about that! Or ask; can hbot improve ivf failures? tiwatope15:.Make progress with HBOT hbot for failed ivf trial Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is increasingly being investigated as a promising, non-invasive adjunctive (supporting) therapy for failed IVF trials, particularly for women facing recurrent implantation failure (RIF), thin endometrial lining, or poor oocyte quality. By increasing oxygen levels in body tissues, HBOT promotes angiogenesis (new blood vessel growth) and reduces inflammation in the uterus, potentially creating a more receptive environment for embryo implantation. By studying the medical report carried out on the male or female patients it becomes easier to determine the dept and duration of treatment with HBOT.
