Thanks. This is quite instructive. KA24DETT:Two "OX" standing fans recently blew the coils few weeks apart and they were constituritng scrap nuisance at home. So I got them converted into a DC fan. Removed the burnt AC motor, got a 12v - 24v power drill motor (the same motor used in these DC fans) and changed the original OX fan blades to plastic ones. A few metal drillings here and there and I got them working fine on DC. With three ceramic resistors soldered in series I was able to achieve graded 3 speed control. Because of gear teeth incompatibility, I couldn't get the oscillating/rocker component of the fans to function. 6. Turning off fridges and freezers at night reduces battery drain. Using frozen containers or bags of pure water inside helps retain cold and slows temperature rise while they’re off.I've had a not nice experience with inverter freezer when few weeks back the condenser packed up, sadly 3 months after the 5 years warranty expired. Never used it on NEPA, always on solar. A non-inverter compressor was swapped in as replacement. Meanwhile other two non-inverter freezers have done well for 7 to 9 years now. So I'm sincerely not sure if I want to walk the inverter freezer terrain again anytime soon. They're used for Ice block biz and cold drinks. Usually the freezers for ice block work 24/7 cos of demands that outpaces supply. But I've lately noticed that 7am to 5am schedule might be power-saving to some extent especially when the blocks are all frozen. Another alternative I've considered to meet demands is probably getting another freezer to transfer all frozen packs/blocks to and then stagger its working for like 15 hours daily hopefully enough to keep them frozen so the donor freezer will be available for new packs. Valto has visited my site and has been very supportive of my business. His customer service has been excellent since my first battery purchase.I might consider Valto for some purchases with this recommendation. I've seen his price trend and it seems to be cheaper than my current supplier even though he too has been highly reliable for years (about 5 years now) and mostly uses grade A cells This reflects my company’s experience. Take it for what it is — n = 1. I went with LV instead of High voltage system, it was a business decision. The Jury is still out.LV as how? You have 48v system, right? Can we say that is low voltage considering the offers we currently commonly have in Nigeria is the highest at 48v system, 60v or 96v still quite a rarity in the Nigeria ecosystem. |

Tdoctor:I think the MPPT is just printed on a PWM inverter. The OGAs in the house will have more knowledge, though. |

Deluxe8000:depends on location Last I paid for 12pcs of brand new 555w is 121,000 @ Fouani Ajah meanWhile, a used 600w bifacial is 110,000 naira , a used 550w bifacial = 100,000 naira AND ordinary (nonBiFacial) 550w is 95,000 naira That's Lagos / Ogun state price Prices could go a bit lower based on volume |

fuckboys:Lol. He is right, they're rated for AC. It will melt with use on solar panel. I have a pack of that type of connector. Used one to connect 12v Led strip that draws around 45w and the shyte melted 😄 I have used these successfully in projects. If you can get any of them, you should be fine. Note that XT60 and XT90 connectors aren't quick connectors though unlike the first two that makes for easy connection. XT connectors require soldering and soldering them is a huge pain in the butt for me. fuckboys:You should have kukuma slide the connector under the panel where it is not unduly exposed to the elements.

Hi Guys, Can anyone give me an assist, on how to connect this KMF 160 Coulomb Meter in my DIY? i use a Hybrid inverter, so there is no external charger, as indicated in the diagram. Does this mean l connect the thick red wire to the PV input of the Inverter, (as the charger?)

oluchibabe:Just connect this meter in between the negative of battery and Inverter. Locate the the inverter part and battery part of the shunt. |

Good day bro. I currently use 1 tubular battery without a panel. And light now days hardly comes.... I am seriously thinking of porting to this itel 500w/1kwh system... Byt I need ur advice based on my load. During d day we use 1 60inch LED TV One standing fan of 40watts and 1 celing fan. An l.g inverter fridge. Few led bulb. At night 2 led bulbs 1 celing fan 1 standing fan 1 tv which will b turned off before midnight pls can the system work for me.. I am considering it kus it's an all in one unit( based on battery and inverter). Anoda option is to buy cworth 3.2kwh lithium battery and den add panels and charge controller to it. Pls advice Unfaized: |

cyif2003:Hi good day. Sure it will work but if you have the option of going for the 3.6kwh battery I'll recommend that. The powertank is not expandable and is only recommended in extreme low budget situation & for small businesses. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by cyif2003(m): 11:10am On Feb 19 |
Which means I will have go either get anoda inverter which has a charge controller or buy charge controller. Unfaized: |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Unfaized: 11:21am On Feb 19 |
cyif2003:If your inverter is sufficient for your needs then get a charge controller. |
