Is it now either Celpip or Ielts or one still has to write both?
Either one.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by chimzyblack(m): 5:03pm On Feb 17
It doesn't really matter, the main thing is you can prove that you received payment for work experience claimed. But a minimum wage (70k) should be the least any worker in Nigeria should be earning. But you and I know that many teachers receive less than that. so sit down with the Director/Owner and reach an agreement on that.

Damolux01:
Thanks alot, please how much okay to get as monthly payment from the school Bank Account?

Hi everyone,

I am already in the pool with CRS of 468. I maxed my ielts and I'm currently studying French with the hopes of writing the exam before the end of the year.

I finished NYSC since last year July and I've been job hunting since then.

The point now is that I've been researching other means to get ITA and I saw that ircc is prioritising French, Healtcare, Education, PNP and CEC for now.

I'm working towards French but I dont want to put all my eggs in one basket. My uncle also has a school so I'm thinking of working there from now till the end of the year.

I would like to know if I would be eligible for the education draw even if I dont have a degree in education or certificate in it? I studied computer science and I did the BCS exam last year.
I don't think so. I'm also planning to go the French route. Already started learning French

Hello everyone,
Please, I'm stuck. I did my MSc in Unilag which was sent to WES for evaluation. However, WES is asking for me to upload the degree certificate which I currently do not have as I just had my convocation in January and was told the certificate will only be available around April. What other documents can I upload in place of the certificate.
Thank you

Do you have the official Notification of Results?
That’s usually ready before the certificate after senate has approved results.
My spouse used it a few years ago without issues, might be worth exploring.
Otherwise April is almost here😊

Hi, how did you prepare for your celpip and if you don't mind me asking what was your score? I have a date for next month but I'm unable to fine any practice test online unless it's paid
I bought official study materials from Celpip, with practise tests and study guides.

You will struggle to find any great study materials that's free, it is by design and you ultimately have to put your money where your mouth is. Sorry.

Update on this, Canada has passed a new rule, for you to qualify for any category based draw you must have at least 12-month work-experience in that job within the last 3years. It is no longer 6months.
chimzyblack:
You already have everything in place, what you need is to position yourself properly for the Education draw.

Based on previous post from others on this thread
NOC 43100 (Teaching Assistant) qualifies for Education draw and does not require a teaching certificate. One of the employment requirements is the completion of a secondary school certificate which is equivalent to WAEC, this is a loophole that can be utilised if one gets a PFL letter.

Start by requesting your uncle give you a job in his school with a signed Appointment/offer letter.

This Appointment must come with a monthly pay from the school's bank account so that you can use the bank payment as proof of work experience when you get ITA. All you need is 6 month's work experience and you can add it to your profile. While you continue with your french exam preparations.

What if someone is already in the pool with a 6 month experience
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by chimzyblack(m): 10:29am On Feb 19
You will not be invited to apply Until you reach the 12Months work experience threshold. The good part is that it doesn't need to be 12months Continuous. If you already have 6months you need to find a way to get an additional 6months for you to qualify for a category based draw...

Hello everyone.

I’m looking at joining the pool and I’m not sure how to go about the job experience part. For context, I will be 29 next month, I will be rounding up my masters in the US in May. And I’m planning to take the CLEPIP exam during summer after my masters.

My main problem is the job experience part, I have always been a freelancer. I have over 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst and around 1.5years experience as a Data Scientist. My Masters is in a related field but my undergraduate degree is in Engineering.

Assuming I max out the English language points, do I have any realistic chance of getting ITA? I also have Canadian tourist visa if it matters.

In the case that the person chose 12 but has 6, they can still get invitation if their CRS score ranked higher in the pool with the information provided (right or wrong). The problem is that, you can't use the invitation because you're going to provide proof to back all information provided (except a ban or rejection is "hungrying" you). Don't create profile if you don't have all the required documents ready. You will deny a legitimate person the chance to receive invitation.

The tricky part is proof. For freelance work, IRCC will want reference letters from clients (including duties, hours, duration, and pay), contracts, invoices, bank statements showing payment, and tax filings, if available.

IMO: working off-campus in the USA on a F-1 student visa without explicit, prior authorization is a severe violation of your visa status and acts as a massive red flag to IRCC

Assuming you can provide proof of your work experience and achieve maximum scores on the English exam, what is the projected CRS score you are looking at?

I used a gift deed in my application process, but in my case I used my regular Nigerian bank account which I normally use to process large transactions. This allowed me to print a 6 Months statement of the account which showed past transactions and made the total credit count on the statement of account to be large. It is usually advisable to use an old account when doing a gift deed. Also make sure the money is sent to the account by a direct blood relative and attach a document to show your relationship with this person (in my case I used our birth certificates, which had the names of our parents on them)

My Pdf for Proof of funds had the following documents;

1.Letter of Explanation for gift deed
2.Notorized gift deed from a High Court
3.Transaction Receipt of the money (from the sender)
4.Birth certificates showing relationship
5.Reference Letter/letter of non-indebtedness from the bank
6 Statement of account
7. Printed screenshot of the POF when converted from Naira to Canadian dollar on OANDA website
Hi chimzyblack,

How long was the gift in your account before applying?
Thank you

Focus and pass your IELTS.
While you study, you can keep up with your WES ECA for updates.
Check also that your CRS score is enough to get you invitation in the category that you chose. (If not, explore other options to increase your chances).

Good luck!

Hello
For someone that has an 8 months experience in healthcare and got an invitation today, what's the best way to handle this taking cognizance of the new law that was just passed.

From my understanding, if 8 months is all you have, you are technically not eligible to submit a complete PR application, even if you received an ITA. Submitting without meeting the minimum requirement can lead to refusal.

It’s stated in the requirements section of the invitation click on the link and read it.

you are not the only one with this issue alot of people got invited and do not have up to 1 year work experience I saw it on Reddit

The POF stayed in my account for only 2 days before I printed my statement of account. Even though my Complete PR application was submitted 23 days later.
The thing with gift deed is not about how long the money stayed in your account, but proving that the funds is not an arrangement fund. That is why there is need for it to come from a blood relative and not using a recently opened account because it might raise suspicion.
