Ogun Police Gives Update On Girl In Viral Video Who Alleged She Was R@ped In Her Home By An Anonymous Man

The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed it has launched an investigation into a viral video in which a young woman identified as Mirabel alleged that she was r*ped by an unidentified man in her home.

According to LIB, the spokesperson of the command, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, said upon receiving information about the incident, the command directed the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Ibafo Division, to immediately reach out to the victim.

‘’''She was able to report at the Ibafo Police Station today, where the facts of the case were obtained. Preliminary findings revealed that the alleged act was committed within the Ogijo jurisdiction.

She was promptly escorted to a medical facility for assessment and urgent attention. Following preliminary treatment, she was conveyed to the Ogijo Police Station, the jurisdiction where the incident occurred, for proper documentation and continuation of investigative procedures.

Given her fragile condition, the victim has since been referred for extensive medical care to aid her recovery and to support the ongoing investigation.'' Babaseyi said

He added that the command is fully committed to ensuring her safety, wellbeing, and the diligent pursuit of justice in this matter.

Ogun State Police have arrested TikTok user, Mirabel, after investigations reportedly found inconsistencies in her viral assault allegations.
She had claimed that an unidentified man attacked her and inflicted injuries. However, according to police findings, there were no confirmed signs of forced entry, and parts of her account did not match available evidence.

She claims a stranger knocked on her door and she open the door and he forced his way in and raped her while she was heavily drunk on a Sunday morning.

Sounds strange but well still needs to be investigated.

This case should be investigated to a logical conclusion and all guilty parties should be punished
