When running a country, you have many issues and factors to consider before you take a decision which is subject to the dictates and influence of the national Assembly, the Constitution and the extant laws.

But when running a church, you can wake up and take any decision and say it was the dictates of the holy Spirit after all the General Overseer is the founder/president /chairman of the board of the church. Decision taken in the church cannot be challenged at worst if you're not happy with the decision, you change church. So, it's not the way you see it.
