The snake in the image appears to be a White-spotted Slug Snake (Pareas margaritophorus), also commonly known as the Mountain Slug Snake. Venom: This species is non-venomous and poses no danger to humans or pets. Diet: They are specialized feeders, primarily consuming snails and slugs. Appearance: Small in size, typically reaching up to 47 cm, with a grey body featuring distinct black and white spots. Habits: They are primarily nocturnal and terrestrial, often found in forests or gardens. Source: Google It's too late for the snake. I don't think any Nigerian will be checking for a snake's bio while it's curled up in their backyard |

Your write up made it sound like the snake was just waiting to attack you but you didn't think that it was just on its own and felt threatened by a big human like you and wanted to defend itself. |

I am sure they did not include any clause banning snakes of all forms and species in the amended electoral act. What are our senators doing? Anyway, on your mandate...

| Re: Nigerian Man Celebrates As He Escapes Snake Bite In His Farm by GeneralOuki: 4:21pm On Feb 19 |
obagofizzy:That is the eastern gater snake, if it had bitten the man he would not be in any danger. Eastern gater venom are generally not dangerous to human |

Olu1000:Just that farmers are not well taken care of in Nigeria. I’m sure outside countries they will be medical equipments in the farm in case of such occurrences before going to the hospital. But here if e bite them go use razor blade cut u tire 😂😂. |
| Re: Nigerian Man Celebrates As He Escapes Snake Bite In His Farm by GeneralOuki: 4:30pm On Feb 19 |
GOFRONT:Most snakes that we kill are actually not venomous, some that are venomous are not really dangerous to humans — their venom don't pack enough toxins to kill a man. I have a lot of them crawling around in my house, I don't kill them because they are not that dangerous and they help to curb pests like lizards and rats. The thing about killing snakes— even if they're venomous enough to Kill a man, is that we lose the opportunity to extract their venom and create anti venom that would be used to treat those who are in need of it. Killing them create anti venom shortages which increases the risk of a patient not getting treatment. The government should create agencies that rescues these snakes from Human populated areas and take them labs where their venom are extracted and used for anti venom and also for study. |
| Re: Nigerian Man Celebrates As He Escapes Snake Bite In His Farm by GeneralOuki: 4:37pm On Feb 19 |
RebirthPhoenix:That snake sef does not pack enough toxins to be potent to humans. Had it been that the snake bit him, na just basic treatment he go need. What people don't really understand is that all those '' local remedies " for snake bite works because the snake that bit them either has very low toxin or has no venom at all. |
