Virtually all of the MDAs for the past two budget cycles have been underfunded. Tinubu and Wale Edun will have a lot of explanation to give to Nigerians after APC is voted out in 2027. |

Nigeria is accumulating debts and no tangible development. This Holy month, take a reflection, do you love this country or just loyal to your party or your people in government. APC has collapsed everything. ![]() |

Every APC supporters know that things are not working in this country. But their brain is like that of a child, or like a dog, loyal to their masters. The irony here is that they benefit nothing from this masters, not better life, not security. CodeTemplarr: |

Mr. Zacch Adedeji, blamed unrealistic budgeting for recurring funding shortfalls. You can deceive some people sometimes but you can't continue to deceive the people all the time. In addition, NNPC need to be sold off. It has become a cash cow in the hands of corrupt officials. |

One begins to wonder what metrics have been consistently relied upon to declare a "positive economic turnaround". We need to have these serious conversations. It is also looking like the members of the economic team aren't on the same page, with one part justifying over estimating budget projections and the other part speaking strongly against it. It's a bad picture altogether. |

At the end of it all, it was nothing but theatrics. Nobody in his right senses would take Akpabio's Senate serious 😎 |

Many Nigerians do not yet understand the depth of destruction Tinubu inflicted on the economy of this country with his unguided and reckless reforms. More are coming out. The propaganda will soon fail. For now, the Nigerian economy is sustained by it large informal sector. If not everything would have been in ruins. Let's keep on watching. |

They are speaking too much English.. My question is were the senators and reps projects also not funded? Also av said this before, it's clownish the way we operate our budgets, No 1 no law enforcement No2, Government should not owe anyone on any job done. No3 the open market is there for government to borrow money from the citizens at lower rates, instead of giving out inflated contracts to contractors who will do kick back, secure loans from bank at an higher rate, government will not pay as at when due, bank will increase its interest on loan given to contractors, naira will slide and if after 2 to 5 years contractor is finally paid, all the money goes to the bank. Also Nigerian banks are all standing on false profit that doesn't exits, imagine capturing income or profit by throwing a contractor account who borrowed 1m to pay 1.3m in a year and he was not paid by government, you add another 500k to money you have not received and the contactor account now read, - 1.800,000.00, you captured 800k as profit from 1m you loan out, but that 800k never came in as cash because contactor company went down.. No collateral or government did not pay, and you declared profit. Imagine that done 1000 times.. That's our our Nigerian banks claim to make profit while all other industries are at loss. Am in support of suspending capital spending for now till we can actually get something we can export to the tune of at least 20 billion use non oil exports if we can't do that we just deceiving ourselves and no growth. |

It is not unrealistic budgeting Mr. Adedeji. It is unrealistic spending. Let us call a spade a spade. Government has not reformed itself. It has not reformed the way it spends unwisely, wastes scarce resources and steals the resource of the people. Such a system CAN NEVER HAVE ENOUGH REVENUE. Gowon laid the template for this infamy and every single subsequent government has followed. No accountability to the people. No service to the people. It is what government officials WANT that government spends OUR money on. In other climes it is the people that select projects to be executed, it is the people that value the projects to be executed, that is decide how much a project should cost and whether they the people can afford it. It is the people that decide how the project(s) are to be funded, whether agreeing to borrowing or taxation. People centric democracies are the most progressive because everyone is in the know and everyone decides. It is not a democracy where the boyfriend takes the girlfriend out for dinner and she does all the 'ordering' and he does all the 'paying'. Such relationships are not sustainable. Such we have have found in ourselves in this democracy we practice. |
