Nigeria is the most populous Black nation on the planet and it's no surprise that such a country has produced exceptionally talented people who have made names for themselves in different spheres of life. Be it in business, politics, academia, sports and entertainment.

These individuals have left their mark in their respective fields and history is replete with their accomplishments. But which one of these personalities has achieved the highest of recognition? The one whose name is mentioned even in the most remote of lands. Who is the most famous Nigerian of all time?

Hmmn. . That's an interesting way to look at it. You can't spell 'Infamous' without 'famous'.

But I don't think the younger generations aka Gen Z and Gen Alpha are familiar with Sanni Abacha and the atrocities of his military regime. I'm not even sure if History is still being taught in our schools today.

Outside of Nigeria, I don't think his name will ring too many bells.

The most famous Nigerian of all time was T.B. Joshua, and there is no question about it. The man was known all over the African continent, Asia, South America, and anywhere there are Christians. People came from all over the world to kneel at the feet of the Black Prophet, and presidents came to worship with him.
