But the news coming out from RN in the UK recently, nor go let me even try my so called wife with such opportunity… I’d go there myself and invite her when I’m firm…

I'd rather take my destiny in my own hands...

Rather than place it in the hands of another man talk less of women that are fickle.

Na you know your wife though especially with children but I would rather not take the risk especially if I don't have to.

Like I said I prefer my destiny in my own hands!

My advice will not make sense to you until your eyes become clear. Please always put yourself ahead of your wife. It is not because your wife is bad, but because nature has made it so that women do not respect people they see as weaker than themselves.

This has nothing to do with morality; it is simply the natural order of nature.

Moreover, nurses are particularly prone to behaviors that may cause them to despise their spouses and family.

honestly speaking, I'm initially not against sponsoring, establishing or investing in your wife but from experiences so far, it's risky because women are very easy to deceive. So my brother, just be careful and very prayerful in this decision. However I'm wishing you all the best.

Been in this kind of case. Seen and advised men in these types of situations.

I know this is likely fictional but I will be blunt

NEVER shelve your dreams for any woman. The ones of this era will NEVER reciprocate

I know a guy who did same thing for his wife, a Nurse. After sending millions in tuition, upkeep for his child staying with maternal grandma and the wife's upkeep.... And he suffering alone, eating in canteens, using drycleaners etc

She betrayed him! Na customary court them dey now.

Hopefully it doesn’t end in tears.

Before anything, how long have you been married? That matters more than people admit. A 6-month marriage is different from a 7-year tested one. Time reveals character, loyalty, and stability.
Now to the real issue.
Marriage is partnership, yes but leadership requires foresight. You cannot outsource your own advancement. If you weaken yourself trying to empower the system, the system eventually collapses.

An MSc strengthens you. And if you’re strong, your home is strong.
Let’s be honest: relocation changes people. New environment, new exposure, new options. Some couples thrive. Some don’t survive it. That’s reality.

Ask yourself this,
If the roles were reversed, would she logically choose your advancement over hers?
Don’t answer emotionally. Answer honestly.
Build yourself first. Stabilize. Then move your wife in with structure and control not hope.
A wise man plans beyond love. He protects his future before testing loyalty.

Sponsor your wife's career

This will free you up to work, and you won't spend at least £20K on a MSc degree that won't really give you any ROI

I sponsored my wife'smaster in the UK as well but you have to be a trillion% sure about your wife's because this path is truly testing especially if your love, orientation, commitment are not on solid ground.

An investment in her career is definitely the beta option if we are to remove betrayal as she will be earning more with the qualification in a field that pays exceedingly well n encourage growth.

The woman will leave you without thinking twice. Always be the provider no matter the situation. Always be the medium that gives hope and succour to your family. The day the roles change you are toast.

Go ahead and improve yourself, don't allow sentiments becloud your sense of reasoning. No woman , absolutely NO woman is worth DYING for. If the roles change she will use the children against you. The best you can do is sponsor her holidays with the kids and return them to base sharply.

Improve yourself and let her enjoy the proceeds from your benevolence.

You are the MAN....remain SO!

If both are travelling to the UK together, then the best way is to sponsor your wife's nursing career, while you go as her dependant. It the easiest way to get a stay. Otherwise, go solo, that is go for your MSc jẹjẹ. If you are favoured to get a stay, then bring your wife first and later your children.

Anything less of this? You are on your own. Be warned!

Since this question is just to keep nairaland busy, not that you need the responses.
My advice is that you use the money to play Arsenal to win both the EPL and the UCL.

Women can be vicious and brutal, men make the usual mistake of thinking they know their wives until she pulls a stunt that will even cause them HBP and they will realise that there's a lot they don't know about their wives for all the years they have lived together.
