Please what do you mean by air from ceiling fan is natural? Does standing fan synthesis its own air? The difference is one blows vertically while the other blows horizontally.

I prefer a standing fan because you can direct the blown air to yourself when you need it or direct it elsewhere when you don’t need it. No direction for ceiling fan

Furthermore, ceiling fans help to pull hot air from the lower levels and allow cool air stay lower, simply because hot air goes up and cold air comes down. so ceiling fans help to ensure even convection of the hot air and cold air cycle. standing fans on the other hand just move air around, by blowing air the fan creates an area of low pressure behind the fan cooling the air a bit before blowing it out the other side. this effect is not very evident in a room with limited ventilation or in a room thats already hot. thats why sometimes it seems that standing fans blow hot air because there is no convection of hot and cold air just movement of breeze. so usually for a standing fan to shine especially in a room with poof ventilation, place the fan beside or close to the window to pull in fresh and cooler air from outside.

Omo,the kain fear that gripped me in that day? I can’t even explain it. Since that day, I’ve developed a serious phobia for ceiling fans.

A bit off topic . We should consider that hot air rises. The upper part of the room/house will have the hotter air. If it is a ceiling fan....it will be blowing down the hot air. The standing fan will be circulating the cooler air . If you don't have a fan....lay on the floor....it is where the coolest air will be. Houses built with small windows way up near to the ceiling do not need fan.....the hot air rises and will exit the house through these windows to keep moving up. Without the windows the hot air remain trapped. Most houses are taking on the designs of European or cold weather climates ....designs to trap hot air. Our houses should be designed to get rid of hot air. In the US...houses in hot Texas are designed different from houses in cold weather New York or Canada. Whatever we do...we should consider hot air rises.

They all serve the same purpose. It just depend on your choice. Don't forget we have wall and table fans too. There is also hand fan.

Also,yours might be an industrial fan.

Ceiling fan also spreads air more than standing fan.

I'm presently using OX, the way it blows even when it's on the least, is just too much especially when the voltage is high.

Nah...depends on the house u re staying....most mordern houses now introduce high roof celling.

Long rod can always bring your ceiling fan to the required height you want.

its industrial and also I kept it in a static position.
No rotation, frequent rotation kills fans.

This is what many people don't know:
Ceiling Fan consumes more electricity units than standing Fan.

Do not argue about this, just do a practical research on it.

So, Standing Fan is economical and also portable to use

As for me, I prefer the ceiling fan because the Air from ceiling fan feels for Natural than the standing fan.

My only fear and concern about the ceiling fan is , what if it pulls off the ceiling? The impact of that isn't something to imagine at all.

All my ceiling fans are 15yrs plus ...only need to change the control once in a while

The type of standing fans in the market are low grade quality and they spoil quickly. Standing fan can last up to five years without any repairs. So I'll go for ceiling fan
