https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVgyIJ7Pq4Q?si=t8mtRZLnhRqWTNM2 Osayi Arome is wrong on this! Berates God's Word. When you hear a minister say stuff like "We are not into deliverance, we just preach the word" mark it. He's not equipped enough to cover your destiny because most of the elements that are going to trouble and bedevil your destiny are spiritual in nature. It means he lacks competence to play that role in your life. Life is not science fiction. It's not a cartoon. He refers to the word of God as just the word. He plays down on the word of God. What does Osayi Arome mean when he said it means that such a minister lacked competence to play the role of covering in your life? Where does the Bible say the minister is a cover? 1 Timothy 2:5 says: "For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus" One mediator, one God. One mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. A very simple fact of the Bible. Any other person between God and man is an interloper. Romans 1: 16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile." We see that the power of God lies in the preaching of the word. Arome Osayi thinks differently. Colossians 2:10 says: "and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power." Osayi Arome is marketing a product he does not know it characteristic. These people don't know the characteristics of the product they are marketing. They are talking about Christianity but they have got no idea of what Christianity is. So they step forward to explain Christianity to people based on their own spiritual encounters, based on their own experiences. Their experiences are not rooted in the word of God. The word of God is not the basis of their experiences. Their experiences are independent of the word of God. We are told here that we are complete in Christ. Osayi Arome says no, we are not. Romans 6:8 say: "Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them." Our iniquity they were taken by Christ because we believe in him. The Bible now uses the word blessed for us. These men say we are not blessed and so they need to perform some work on Christians to make them blessed. They always discredit or deconstruct the word of God in order for them to elevate their biases and their sentiment which is what this guy has done. Hebrews 4:12 says: "For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword" but Osayi Arome apparently believes that that is not so. He obviously thinks that the Word of God is not alive and powerful and sharper than any double-edged sword. He thinks he needs something extra. |

The Authority and Sufficiency of Scripture Psalm 19:7–11 describes what the Word of God actually does: The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul… making wise the simple… rejoicing the heart… enlightening the eyes… Notice the comprehensive claims: • Restores the soul (inner healing and renewal) • Makes wise (guidance for life decisions) • Rejoices the heart (emotional stability) • Enlightens the eyes (spiritual discernment) • Warns and rewards (protection and direction) Biblical conclusion: If the Word does all this, then a ministry centered on preaching Scripture is not incompetence — it is the primary God-ordained means of spiritual deliverance and protection. In addition: • 2 Timothy 3:16–17 – Scripture makes the believer complete, equipped for every good work. • Hebrews 4:12 – The Word discerns and exposes spiritual realities. • Ephesians 6:17 – The Word is the sword of the Spirit in spiritual warfare. A pastor who centers his ministry on the Word is not avoiding spiritual warfare — he is using the very weapon God provided for it. The False Assumption About “Deliverance” Osayi Arome's statement assumes that spiritual problems require specialized deliverance techniques beyond preaching. But in Scripture: • Jesus defeated Satan with Scripture (Matthew 4). • The apostles emphasized: - Repentance - Faith - Truth - Sound doctrine Deliverance in the New Testament is often the result of: • The gospel believed • Truth replacing deception • Sin confessed and forsaken • Minds renewed (Romans 12:2) John 8:32: You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free. Biblical pattern: Truth leads to Freedom Not: Ritual → Freedom |

Oga go and sit down. Taking useless context from one video and decide on someone. |

talk2ibk:When you can't use the same "context from one video" to argue your case it show who you are and how you think. |

sagenaija:Your lack of English comprehension is your reason for these empty ramblings. Osayi didn't call the Word 'Just' from what you wrote up there. He was talking about what he does. He just does something, and because that something is powerful, it delivers people. What does he just do? He just preaches the Word. Simple and factual. That's what all Christians should be doing. You don't need to do anything else. The Word is Enough! Just preach the Word. Just Preach. That's all. Preach. His statement shows how powerful the Word is. All you need to do is to just preach it. Leave everything else to the Word. English is not hard my brother. |

FxMasterz:Did you listen to him or even read and have a good comprehension of what his words that I wrote out there? When he talks about ministers who say "We are not into deliverance, we just preach the word" and follows it up with what he said what in your English comprehension do you think he is saying? Many of you continue to fail the "Berean test". |

talk2ibk:You still have not said anything, have you? What "understanding" comes from outside the plainly stated words of the Bible? May be you are referring to some esoteric "understanding". No wonder many of you fall for anything offered out there. |

What is Hidden Osayi Arome's Statement Osayi Arome's claim reflects three problematic ideas: (1) Fear-Based Destiny Theology It assumes: • Many unseen forces are waiting to derail your destiny • You need a “spiritually powerful specialist” But Scripture teaches: • Romans 8:31 – If God is for us, who can be against us? • Believers are secure in Christ, not constantly vulnerable. (2) Power-Centered Ministry Instead of Word-Centered Ministry In the New Testament, the primary marks of a competent minister are: • Sound doctrine • Faithful teaching • Godly character See Titus 1:9 – Holding firmly to the trustworthy word so he can encourage by sound doctrine and refute error. Competence = Faithfulness to the Word, not dramatic deliverance activity. (3) Undermining the Sufficiency of Scripture Osayi Arome's statement effectively says that the Word alone is not enough for real-life spiritual problems. But Psalm 19 says the opposite: • Perfect • Sure • Right • Pure • True • Righteous altogether And Psalm 19:11 adds: By them your servant is warned… That includes protection from spiritual harm. |
