APC Wins Ungogo, Kano Municipal Bye-Elections by Slytiger(op): 8:25am On Feb 22
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won the by-elections conducted on Saturday to fill the vacant seats for Ungogo and Kano Municipal constituencies in the Kano State House of Assembly.

The seats became vacant following the sudden deaths of the lawmakers representing Ungogo Constituency, Aminu Sa’ad, and Kano Municipal Constituency, Sarki Aliyu Daneji, who passed away on the same day.

In the by-elections, the sons of the deceased lawmakers — Aminu Sa’ad Sa’ad (Ungogo) and Aliyu Nabil Daneji (Kano Municipal) — secured landslide victories over their opponents.

Ungogo Constituency Result
Announcing the result in Ungogo Local Government Area, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Returning Officer, Prof. Ali Tijjani Abdullahi, declared the APC candidate, Aminu Sa’ad Sa’ad, winner after polling 8,975 votes.

His closest rival, Shua’ibu Hashimu of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), garnered 54 votes.

“Aminu Sa’ad Sa’ad of the APC, having satisfied the requirements of the law, is hereby declared the winner and is returned elected,” Prof. Abdullahi stated.

Kano Municipal Constituency Result
Similarly, in Kano Municipal, INEC Returning Officer, Prof. Ibrahim Tajo Siraj, declared Aliyu Nabil Daneji of the APC as the winner.

Daneji secured 7,484 votes, defeating his closest challenger, Shehu Ishaq Abdullahi of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), who polled 105 votes.

“Aliyu Nabil Daneji of the APC, having satisfied the requirements of the law, is hereby declared the winner and is returned elected,” Prof. Siraj said.

The by-elections were conducted to restore representation in the Kano State House of Assembly following the unexpected demise of the former legislators.

If this coalition is not serious, let them sleep and prepare for 2031 not 2027.
I'm not seeing any seriousness from them in this 2026, Tinubu should continue, period.

Lol. Both NNPP and ADC were not on the ballot so APC technically ran unopposed. Off-cycle elections are nothing to celebrate though but go on.

I love and enjoy this your delusion that by-election victories don’t matter, even though the winners enjoy all the privileges of the offices they were elected to occupy, while the losers groan in defeat and are often left in financial ruin, especially when they are not Atiku, who has amassed enough wealth to spend lavishly during every election cycle.

Sigh! Boring. Come back and compare notes after the 2027 presidential elections. APC are already beginning to kill themselves in Delta and these are just early days. Time is a gentleman.

Leave Delta State, theyre politicians, they will definitely take care of themselves. Worse than that happened in Ondo State in 2020, where 2 State Excos emerged, the NEC of the party waded in and harmonised the list and the party became stronger 💪 thereafter. Have you heard another party winning any election in Ondo State since 2019?
And talking about the outcome of 2027, may God keep alive. I went through your profile and realised that it is not a crayfish account, please don't take it down, after the results of the election are announced, so that we can compare whichever note we may need to compare.

this is exactly why people like you are against full time e transmission of election results. Until it is approved no result of election in this nation is genuine. You are giving disfranchisement of people in an area without internet network as a reason. If you go through amac election, you will know that the number of people who are disfranchised in this country by aparthy is much more grater than the people without network coverage. Every sensible person in this country should be in the front fight against any form of manual result

You don't know politics. ADC and NNPP were not on the ballot in this election. The 2 candidates that Kwankwaso nominated to contest under NNPP are the same ones that were fielded by Abba Kabir under APC and won unopposed. Kwankwasiyya is now fully in-charge of Kano while Ganduje and co are working for him indirectly. This is why the APC in Kano is still fragmented with a lot of silent resentments.

It very obvious they're not serious. They're not ready to put in the work, just waiting for opportunity to get to power. Every one of them want become their presidential flag bearer yet sit back without doing much.

They are not looking for big wig potential politicians to join them through canvasing, but only disgruntled and loser politicians dissatisfied with ruling party are coming to grab power as if it's child's play.

It's better they should just declare Tinubu as winner without wasting billions of naira on election that wouldn't matter much.
Re: APC Wins Ungogo, Kano Municipal Bye-Elections by demstone: 3:17pm On Feb 22
tinubu as an ordinary citizen got over 500k votes in kano compared to kwankwaso's abt 900k nd atiku's 100k... underestimate tinubu at ur own loss

go do ur investigation APC kano has a sharing formula btw d governor on one side getting abt 60% while barau, ganduje etc take 40%.. dere is no kwankwaso taking 100%... infact last i heard OBJ is working on an obi/kwankwaso ticket

The division in Kano APC is no longer silent. Barau is fighting with Ganduje, while the old APC is angry that the gov and his camp are getting 60% percent of the structure as against 40% for them.

2031 not even sure they will still get anything. This is a sure banker, that Tinubu candidates from the north will not win in 2031 is not just possible going by the kind of sophisticated politics Tinubu is known for. God spared our lifes.
