It seems there's no hope for STEM draw now or in future. |

Gbengard:I am also concerned and hoping. That French route (learning French) will need a ton of dedication. |

Nozino:387 is a very low score. Even people with Canadian work experience and a master’s degree, scoring around 485, are not getting ITAs except category-based draws Try using the CRS calculator to see what you can improve. Max out your points where possible and focus on category-based draws if you qualify. The Provincial Nominee Program used to be a strong option, but many provinces are now reducing the number of candidates they accept, even for those already in Canada. Your last realistic option may be to learn French. It can be challenging, but right now, those are the main pathways available.

Gbengard:In the history of Express Entry, STEM draws have only been conducted three times, with the last one held in April 2024. The reduction in immigration targets announced on October 24, 2024 also explains why we haven’t seen additional STEM draws. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/2024/10/government-of-canada-reduces-immigration.html If you’re already in Canada, in my opinion, it’s better to forget about STEM and focus on CEC. If you’re outside Canada, your options are quite limited unless you qualify under healthcare or French-language categories.

Word of advice for those with CRS of 470 and above, but still struggling to get invited. ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE BASED IN NIGERIA. yes french draw is the most consistent draw currently but you can still position yourself for the Education and several other draws while still preparing for the french Exam In 2024, I was in the pool and I had a CRS point of 480.I Wrote IELTS thrice just to get maximum score, wrote BCS exam to get the two or more certificates points. In the end, i was so frustrated because the STEM draw I was hoping to get had a CRS cut of 491 and I missed out. They never did another STEM draw till date. Same 2024, I registered with Alliance Francaise to start preparing for TCF exam, it was so difficult for me that I gave up after 1 month because I knew I wouldn't be ready to attempt that exam even in the next 2years. What did I do? I couldn't let my CRS of 480 go to waste, so I position my self by going through all the category based NOC's on IRCC website checked through the employment requirements and if the work experience were regulated (there is a very big loop hole there). As an Electrical Electronics Engineer, I had the flexibility of claiming some NOC's under the Trade category, there are Some NOC's where the Employment requirements is a secondary school certificate. Do your research on the IRCC website, get a job in that NOC and get your invite. Everything depends on how much you want it. I picked one of the NOC's and applied for jobs related to that NOC, I didn't even mind being underpaid I was very desperate. Luckily for me I got one. And after 6months of working there I added the NOC to my profile. In 2025, my CRS reduced to 475 due to age, Mid 2025, I got invited through that job experience. It is unfortunate that the category based work experience time frame has been increased to 12months but that shouldn't stop you unless you feel you can Ace the TCF exam in One year. Note: Don't be too desperate to the point of going to alter your Profile, IRCC keeps a record of all your entries and if found that your application is not consistent you could be banned for 5 years for misrepresentation. It is better to get a job with verifiable documents and add it to your profile than going to alter the profile to fit in a fake work experience. |

Badadvisor:The truth hurts, bro, I understand 😂😂 Happy married life! I hope you’ve applied for spousal PR. Processing time in Canada typically takes about 10 to 14 months. Best of luck ... it should be faster since you’re already in the country. |

Hi everyone, I’ve received my ITA, and I'm currently preparing my documents for submission under NOC 33102 (Nurse Aides/Health Care Assistants). I worked for the same employer: 1. 8 months part-time 2. 7 months and 2 weeks full-time 3. Same job title and same duties (only hours changed) I currently list them separately on my profile, but I’m now preparing my reference letter. My questions: Should I combine both periods into one employment entry since it’s the same employer and the same duties? Is one reference letter covering the entire period sufficient (clearly stating the change from PT to FT and hours per week)? Has anyone submitted something similar post-ITA and had no issues? I want to avoid any unnecessary confusion or ADR. Thank you! |

Same situation as mine. I'm wondering if I need to upload the same letter twice. napoleonbaba: |

kbpresh:ChatGPT and Claude advised that I merge the experience under one entry and get a one reference with detailed explanation to avoid confusion. |
| Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by kbpresh: 1:37pm On Feb 22 |
That's a bit confusing for me because I first worked 20 hours pw for months before switching to 30 hours pw. It seems clearer leaving it as two entries. napoleonbaba: |

Good morning everyone. I recently came across the express entry and it seems like something really promising. I evaluated my CRS score and it seems somewhat low (456) compared to what I’ve seen on this thread with people having wayy higher without having ITA. Additionally, I also happen to be in the list of demanded occupations, in the trade part. I have two years of experience working for US companies as a construction estimator, I have documented employment in this. Including pay stubs, taxes and pension contributions from my employer. Does this put me in a better condition than the general CRS draw? And also, I checked the last time a trade draw was done, the minimum CRS score was >500 which I think is extremely competitive for a trade draw. I also have a Masters Degree in a tech field and I contribute regularly to Data Science projects but not as a paid employment. Please how do I navigate my profile to get competitive? I started French lessons but it doesn’t seem like something I’d pass. |

Gbengard:It's doable. I started learning French from scratch and within 10 months pushed myself to write TCF. It wasn’t easy, but it paid off. I have my pr now. Just dedicate yourself entirely to learning, watch French movies without subtitles, listen to podcasts, find a tutor or study partner, and immerse yourself in the language. It took me 10 months because I was too anxious to write the exam. With upmost dedication 7-8 months is reasonable. |

Good Evening House I am currently filling out my WES application and noticed that a "Direct MBA" option is missing; the closest matches are "Bachelor/Master of Business Administration" or "Executive MBA." Given that I completed an MBA with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence, which of the options in the attached screenshot is the most appropriate for an accurate evaluation? Additionally, the system seems to mandate a delivery method for a personal copy (Standard or Priority Express), but I only require the report to be sent directly to the official recipient, is there a way to bypass this personal shipping fee, or is it a compulsory part of the application process?

Hello people Please, i need your advise. My sister is a nurse in Nigeria (Bsc nursing). She has obtained 3 years of work experience and is under 29 years of age. She's considering putting in for PR this year in Canada and, but an old friend who lives in Canada that she contacted said that Canada has silently stopped inviting offshore applicants and are focusing on PR applicants who are already in Canada. Please, is this information true? She has Crs score of 438(If she gets 8 on all band IELTS) Please advice her. I hope to hear from you soon Kind regards. |

Not entirely true, she should go ahead and write her IELTS exam and also Evaluate her Credentials. Go through page 1of this thread for all information regarding the PR process. Lovebeam: |
