On Peng, most of our dispatch riders earn from: ₦80,000 – ₦200,000 per month using a basic salary plus performance incentives strategy.

For this article, we also had to look at external data, and we found that most listings had salary ranges from ₦60,000 – ₦130,000/month. Some postings go up to ₦150,000/month depending on the employer and requirements.

Dispatch riders in Nigeria generally earn in two ways: salary (employed) or independent (paid per delivery).

1. Salary riders (monthly pay):
Most listings and offers sit around ₦60,000 – ₦130,000/month, with some employers stretching it to ₦150,000 when the workload is heavier or incentives are included. A sensible “average” to think with is about ₦100,000/month for many riders across Nigeria.

2. Independent riders (pay-per-delivery):
This includes riders working with apps, rider networks, restaurant/ecommerce partnerships, or personal customers. It can pay more, but fuel, repairs, and slow days can chop the profit. Platforms also take a cut (often around 20% commission depending on the platform). When they’re busy and consistent, many riders land around ₦200,000 – ₦450,000/month gross, and roughly ₦150,000 – ₦300,000/month net after fuel and maintenance.

There's mad money in the Business, but it can Only thrive when you do it yourself,
Everyday a dispatch goes home with roughly 15- 21,000 Naira excluding fuel ⛽

Yes, very serious independent riders do earn upto that, we've seen even 25K, 30K days, some days 10, but on average, they make about 300K+ monthly place in somewhere like Lagos for example.

In other cities, slightly lesser.

Basically you need a bike, or you can try the hire purchase model if you're serious. So many companies offer that now.

You can make money but also consider the risk.

I comfortably made 350k on an average working 4 days a week.
And 700k in Decembers. 500k averagely in February (Valentine), and Ileya months till I ventured into something else.
I know of a guy (Oralb) in diary section whose posts inspired me to join the hustle. He bought a car with it in the hope of starting Uber business but found out he was making more money with his bike than his car.
Eventually, he travelled abroad with money from dispatching.
I didn't believe till I joined and in less than a year, I made enough to help me set up my current hustle.
Only issue is, you need orientation on destination trip amassment, if not you'll break down in just a few days and ended up with nothing.
And you need heightened determination and discipline, if not na as you dey make the money naim you go dey squander am.
40k/day is easypeasy in Lagos.

One also needs to know the city where one is working (yes, google maps, but sometimes phones and internet fails.).

One thing I come to understand is that,
No business that they is no money inside it,
If not, pple wouldn't bother to involve in it,
Even sewage disposers too,
Re: How Much Does A Dispatch Rider In Nigeria Make Monthly by BioData45: 11:05am On Feb 23
Doing 5 to 10 trips a day can give you up to 50k daily.

But there are two costs:
1. Cost of running like fuel and maintenance or damages
2. Cost of your life: Spending hours on the road daily gives you the chance of being crushed by reckless Nigeria drivers.

So, do the analysis well before you proceed. Wish you good luck.

I believe you would get some valuable answers to this question... But most importantly is that you're ready for the stress and dynamics of running the business.

One guy in PH makes nothing less than 15k daily. He is famous on TikTok and FB. I think his name is Godwin. A graduate of Rivers State University.

No everyone that goes out to work makes it. Pray grace finds you. One millisecond encounter with your helper is enough.... I'm a living witness. If hardwork pays bro bricklayers for don make am.....

On the Contrary that's outrageously discouraging.

Get a secondhand used bike for 400 to 500k and keep 100k to get all necessary papers (less than 70k actually) then you're good to go.
God knows you don't necessarily need a new bike, you only need a good bike.

Bricklayers have food, no food for lazy man. Not everyone is working to be Elon Musk or think with the mindset of internet fraudsters and ritualists.
Bricklayers are landlords and own these motorbikes in this same Nigeria if you are disciplined and plan. i understand the place of luck and favour, but God Himself blesses sowing and hardwork for general, everyday people.
