Electricity is a function of where you are, currently I am living in a place they've not taken light for 5 years of my stay here, it's making it difficult for me to relocate.
Re: Electricity Issues Is Now So Bad. by richiemcgold: 7:37am On Feb 23
Here in Akure, I've not set my eyes on public power since Thursday last week and today is Monday. If I should calculate the total number of hours we enjoy electricity in this year so far, it is not up to 50 hours, and today is February 23.

Of all the gencos in the country, this BEDC is the worst. People in that company can't escape the wrath of God because their inefficiency has crumbled many businesses.

50hours in almost 2months? You are really enjoying (don't mind me)

Some areas, they have not enjoyed cumulative of 10hrs between Jan 1 and today (not even a local area but urban centres) here in Ibadan and don't forget that power minister is from Ibadan o 😂

If Mr President can switch to solar to generate power, you should know that something is wrong with the country power generation

bro the general perspective...i know an area in Port harcourt where private residents dont own a generator aside from businesses around. They have almost 24hrs light. But what is the general situation in Nigeria ?

2 days ago, I visited PHCN office to complain about no electricity.
I saw that hey were using generator.
At this point, even PHCN does not trust PHCN.

I don't believe you. Where exactly is your location? I'm located at oyemekun road which is one of the most commercial part of the town. No light since Thursday.

Those who can't make sensible contributions to this topic should kindly shut up. Personally I don't support any politician. You probably don't know who you are talking to. Here in Ondo State, nobody criticizes APC government more than I do.

This is another reason those people at BEDC will never escape the wrath of God. Over 90% of business and commercial activities in Akure are located at Oba-Adesida and Oyemekun roads, yet we don't have access to stable electricity, but ijapo where most of the politicians reside is enjoying stable electricity. No wonder people are moving their business away from this town.

Ijapo Estate previously experienced epileptic power supply too, but since BEDC reclassified the area to Band A tariff, electricity has become very expensive. It's likely that residents in the main town may not be able to afford the Band A rates.

But this doesn't justified why you guys don't have light since last week Thursday.

The bolded statement is very wrong o! My printing press for instance operates many heavy machines. Only God knows how much I've spent on generator since January. Diesel alone takes about 50k every week. Seems you don't know how much this epileptic power is affecting us here. If Band A is the way to get 24hrs, they should please upgrade us to Band A. No matter how costly it can be, it can't be costlier than generator.

Na you Sabi
Keep it a close secret so no one can prove you are lying for APC

Bonnie Iceland has the best power supply in Nigeria. 24/7 if I ever saw one

But even so they take it at least once a year for maintenance

But in your location they don't take it for 5 years.

Please don't mention me with long sentences just tell me the place let me do my research or forever remain silent

Thank you

Lol some of you simply can't read. Perhaps it is lack of concentration or intelligence

You are on a train that is referring to the situation of electricity in Nigeriathe ... I repeat in Nigeria

But look at you talking about electricity overseas... 😂😂😂😂

Make I travel and see? Oga I was born in a place where they have not taken light for decades

for you to interprete that statement like that, it's obvious you don't know your left from your right, you're a young chap who doesn't have experience in life at all, for you not to understand "travel and see" it's obvious I am engaging the wrong person
