Well done President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

👏 👏 👏
You should be saying that about PDP deregulation and privatisation wizards who made geometric power a reality.

Will you be working with other patriotic Nigerian 🇳🇬 citizens to restore our prosperity under PDP huh

IGBOs bring value. All the years Wike was Governor he never thought of them. Now it's the same IGBO people they are sponsored to hate is giving them light after years of neglect.

Otti...the Unifier.

What did he do? Was it his initiative?
Attributing sincere, hardworking and empathetic people's work to Tinubu is a ridiculous thing to do!

Over 60% of Fashola'a ideas, efforts and executions are being attributed to Tinubu with the excuse that it was his "master plan"
Meanwhile, he had 8 solid years to execute his "master plan" but didn't.

Now thank His Excellency, Governor Alex Otti.
As of February 2026, the administration of President Bola Tinubu is actively working on expanding electricity infrastructure to rural and underserved communities through initiatives like the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) and partnerships with new power distribution companies.

Here are the key developments regarding community electricity under the Tinubu administration:

Etche Communities, Rivers State: In February 2026, Aba Power (a subsidiary of Geometric Power) extended electricity supply to several communities in the Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State, which reports indicate had been without electricity for over a decade.

Abuja Solar Project: The Federal Government recently inaugurated a one-megawatt solar mini-grid to supply electricity to the Rubochi and IQuA communities in Abuja, benefiting approximately 4,000 households, businesses, and schools.
Rural Electrification Focus: The government is focusing on solar mini-grids and solar home systems to improve access for communities not connected to the national grid, as part of the broader national energy strategy.

General Strategy: President Tinubu has signed the Electricity Act Amendment Bill (2024), which allows states, companies, and individuals to generate, transmit, and distribute electricity, aiming to decentralize the power sector and enhance supply to local areas.

There should be a boundary adjustment to allow every ethnic group to decide where they want to stay.. Enough of this nonsense..

Why would someone stay without electricity for 20 years, yet we keep preaching unity that does not exist..?

This similar issue happened few years ago where Okowa had to go to Edo state to grade road for Igbanke people of Edo state.. Edo state government neglected them for years because they have refused to change their identity, until Okowa had to do the needful..

A governor of a state should be a governor for all, irrespective of their beliefs and ethnicity, not a governor of only particular group of people.

With this wonderful news, good governance from Abia is now spilling into Rivers, a state long battered by manufactured crises orchestrated by a Notorious drûñkàrd with enormous backing from a notorious forger and identity thiéf, Rivers is finally catching its breath

For the people of Etche, this could well be the beginning of a new lease on life.

Honestly!

When I start comparing Nigeria with smaller West African countries, people will start insulting me.

These countries might not be as "flashy and sophisticated" as Nigeria... But they have gone past this level many many years ago.

Otti does his thing like there was no politics. Not even like the allocation going to Abia is bigger than that of Rivers. But look what he's done. Tomorrow the ogogoro man would say Rivers people are not Igbo. Yet, you can't do for them what an Igbo man cannot do.

Angry? Boy, that's just your imagination. The president has done nothing to improve power supply. We're still at ~5000MW

Northern states are suffering. The Mando-Shioro transmission line that terrorists destroyed in 2024 has not been fixed till date.

Terrorists chased out the army and engineers from the forest when they went to repair it.

The national grid has collapsed 2 times this year and 12 times last year.

I'm talking facts not AI.

[quote author=Ezeama400 post=138562019]Video of residents Jubilating in Umuola community in Etche LGA of Rivers state as Aba Power connects them to power after 20 years of blackout.

Alex Otti connects light to abandoned Igbo community in Rivers state. Umuora is one of Igbo communities in Eteche LGA Rivers state. For past 20 years they don't have electricity until governor Otti gave order to connect the community to Aba power supply.

Etche took permission from Lord of the rings.... Emperor Wuked.
