Nigerian music star Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has made a major disclosure in the ongoing Lagos State High Court trial involving his elder brother Jude Okoye, who is facing allegations of misappropriating $1 million.

During proceedings before Justice Rahman Oshodi, Peter admitted that he and his twin brother Paul Okoye were co-signatories to the bank account of Northside Entertainment Limited — a statement that contradicted his earlier testimony suggesting Jude had sole control over the company’s finances. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Peter clarified that although Jude was originally the only signatory when the company started, both he and Paul were later added to the account.

“Despite being co-signatories, I never personally signed cheques or managed transactions,” he told the court.

The revelation reportedly came during cross-examination by defence counsel, Clement Onwuewunor (SAN), after official banking documents were presented as evidence.

Peter also addressed the ongoing disagreement regarding ownership of the P-Square catalogue, maintaining that the nearly 100-song collection belongs solely to him and Paul.

According to him, Jude was not a founding member of the group but later became their manager around 2004 or 2005 without any formal written contract.

Justice Oshodi subsequently adjourned the case until May 15, 2026, for further hearing.

The legal dispute has attracted widespread public attention, with fans of the iconic duo expressing mixed reactions over the family and financial tensions. Meanwhile, Paul Okoye has publicly shown support for Jude amid the court proceedings, highlighting the complex relationship among the Okoye brothers.

He's never going to win, am not even siding with any of them but truth be told dude is not winning his brothers in any way

He said he wants to be alone all should he should do is just ignore them and live his life like they don't even exist, I don't understand this constant dragging and trying to look innocent all of them are wicked to themselves none is innocent

According to many of their colleagues their problem is really hard to solve cos all of them are at fault and none is ready to apologize

Same with Paul too. They just like that and you can't put the blame on Peter alone. It's hit different when member of your family turn their back against you all because peter loves and chooses to marry Lola.
Jude their uncle who is suppose to mediate and solve any problems that arises between the twins brothers decided to side with Paul to fight Peter. I bet you can't you can't deal with that³
