Atiku Abubakar Warns Tinubu Over The Attack On Peter Obi In Edo State

The violent attack on Peter Obi, Chief John Oyegun, Prof. Oserheimen Osunbor, Olumide Akpata, and other Coalition ADC leaders in Benin, Edo State, is utterly condemnable and unacceptable in any democracy.

In recent times, we have witnessed reckless and inflammatory rhetoric from elements within the ruling party in Edo State, rhetoric that dangerously legitimises violence against political opponents. Words, when weaponised, often precede actions. What happened in Benin did not occur in a vacuum.

Nigeria is entering a perilous phase in which opposition voices are not only harassed through state institutions but are now being physically targeted. The ruling APC appears to have escalated its intolerance from bureaucratic suppression to open aggression.

@officialABAT and the nation’s security chiefs bear a constitutional responsibility to guarantee the protection of lives and property without discrimination or partisanship. The safety of opposition leaders and supporters is not a favour; it is a democratic obligation.

The reason Wike became more powerful than Atiku in PDP was because while Atiku will run away after every election, Wike was the one managing the party as Rivers governor, paying secretariat workers nationwide. Atiku will just come and pay delegates to become candidate while Wike already held the structure.

Do you think its a joke to manage a party that has structure till another electoral cycle? Thats why Obi and Atiku will rather jump ship to any party as special purpose vehicle. Why hasn't Sowore party been crying about APC like Obi and Atiku does?

I still find it very hard that a people so enlightened can mortgage their future for someone like Tinubu who is not a proper omoluabi, even the yorubas did not do that for awolowo, it is something they will come to regret, when other regions start repaying the favour ,at that time Tinubu will be the only visible beneficiary of his administration, why the myopic supporters would have suffered in vain
