Escaped assassination from your own ADC party members

The crisis rocking the Edo State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has degenerated into a major conflagration as hoodlums suspected to be loyal to one of the factions attacked the house of the party chieftain and former governor of the state, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, riddling his gate with bullets.

It would be recalled that several leaders of the party, including a former Chief Whip of the Senate, Sir Rowland Owie, who is one of the founders and financiers of the party in the state; Sunny Aguebor, a national leader of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), and Douglas Iyike, among others, were shut out of the meeting scheduled to be held at the residence of the National Leader of the party, Chief Odigie Oyegun, in Benin City.

It was gathered that Odigie-Oyegun scheduled the meeting for his residence and when the members got to the place, they were shown a list of those invited.

This development got the members infuriated and took over the entrance to the compound of Odigie-Oyegun.

Speaking to journalists, Owie called on the mational leadership of the ADC to call Odigie-Oyegun to order.

He said, “We that are here, are founding members of the ADC, we are supposed to have a meeting today, Chief John Oyegun who has not done anything to support the party in this state is calling non-members to a meeting and excluding those who are statutory members.

A house of commotion that is divided against themselves, today they want to blame APC for their crisis. Always seeking public sympathy

You forgot the part where two factions of ADC are in open disagreement with one another, that is a verifiable news. Any member of the disgruntled faction can do this. Obi should have done his due diligence before going to Edo. At least try and settle the difference, hear from both sides. Same thing happened in Labour Party when it was hijacked.

1. Someone on Oyegun's level will have cctv on his fence. There is no way he won't have video coverage of his gate. Haba. Make una think.

2. This is the second time ADC office would be attacked. It's an office for God's sake. Every office building now comes with CCTV. Even if you no need am, one small company would have come to "market" it to you. And it is way too cheap not to buy for your own security.

Again, the only way you would believe this is either you don't have cctv in your house or office.

Well said, the newly admitted ADC tenants claimed that the cars followed them and then waited till they got out of the car to go inside Oyegun's house to start shooting at the car. Who does that?

You know they want to trend, which is Peter Obi's speciality. If not, which kind of animal would stand near the bullets that was used to shoot at them and start doing press conference.

How did they know the place had been secureity cleared of the potential assailants for example if it wasn't a set up?

My real pain is that anyone who watches American action movies will immediately pick holes in this story. Too shallow for it to be real.

Unfortunately, most youths now watch Peller, Jarvis and Davido on TikTok so their acumen for understanding scenarios is quite low.
