@Airsaylongcome has no reason to be here more than 10 years after their own recruitment process started, yet he is here helping and guiding us from day one. It is is as though he cannot help but offer his guidance and support. I personally appreciate that so much, and it tells me all I need to know about the type of person he is. Thank you so much sir. |

Corporatehitman:In personality test or job-focused assessments, there is no single “correct” answer. The aim is to see what you prioritize naturally. However, if you are required to choose ONE option, the best and safest choice is: 👉 3. I ensure the safety of the environment where I work. Why this is usually the strongest choice: 1. Safety is a non-negotiable value in professional workplaces 2. Employers often rank safety and compliance above speed 3. Safety signals responsibility, risk awareness, and maturity How the other options are viewed 1. (Meeting deadlines) is very good, but deadlines should not override safety 2. (Following supervisors) is equally important, but instructions must still be safe and ethical Key exam insight Many companies operate with the mindset: “No deadline or instruction is more important than safety.” If the personality test allows multiple choices, then the ideal response is to agree with all three. captainbangz:I actually finished it! Unlike the other sessions where the timer cut me off, I managed to answer every single question in that part. |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by Thatitguy: 8:49pm On Feb 25 |
Vickqwerty:There was no time limit for that section. |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by captainbangz: 8:53pm On Feb 25 |
Omo, my second assessment was though. Could not finish my Numerical, the last question I could not answer, even though I skipped some questions that seemed like time wasters, would have earned me a bonus point (just ranking by sales/target). I believe those with jobs write the assessment while being calm (because they have nothing to loose. LOL) and that helps. I had another assessment to prepare for, and would need to travel 18hrs to get to the venue and this job I am more likely to get by God's grace. So I was juggling between preparing for NLNG assessment and preparing for the other assessment too. For this reason, I had to take my NLNG assessment earlier so I can focus on preparing for the other. God so kind, I encountered issues (with shl) I was able to resolve. If I had waited a little longer before taking the NLNG assessment, I don't know what would have happened. The past two weeks were overwhelming for me. 😞. But we thank God. |

| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by captainbangz: 8:56pm On Feb 25 |
Thatitguy:yes. However, although not sure, but they might consider how fast one was able to finish the JFA. I believe that is why, they "advised the test takers to be fast and not overthink" even though there is no time limit. |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by Artsynatty: 8:56pm On Feb 25 |
For the non-engineering guys, I really haven't seen anyone complain about inductive reasoning. Was it that easy for everyone? Or is it that its own difficulty pales in comparison to the numerical? Because... those shapes were quite confusing. There were also some questions that required me to use a pen and paper to 'solve'. My eyes were turning after I finished that part. |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by Artsynatty: 9:01pm On Feb 25 |
Yeah, in all things, give thanks. How was the other job assessment? I can't help but wonder why you had to travel 18 whole hours to get to the venue. Was it an assessment centre or just a normal written assessment? I do hope you get the job, though, and that lines fall unto you in pleasant places. Cheer up, my guy! The best is yet to come. captainbangz: |

@corporatehitman Your feelings are valid and I felt same after my assessment. But I’m a benefactor of miracles and trust me not once but umpteen number of times. The job I have today, it was more like fate cos I can recall during my 2nd assessment (50 questions in 12 mins) my laptop froze and barely had 8 mins to complete my assessment. I even noticed my camera went off and that was a red flag already cos the assessment was being supervised via teams… I was about sending an email for a reschedule where I got an email that I’ve progressed to the next stage. I recall during my first interview even a call came and disconnected my network and couldn’t join in again… amidst all these I still got the job. During my undergrad days as well… so many courses I thought I fvcked up I still ended up getting an A. So when something is yours Yh, just ensure you do ur part and leave the rest for God. You’ll make it. Feeling bad is normal… but keep praying and hoping for the best… no room for pessimism cos being pessimistic won’t change how you’d feel if u still don’t get in so why don’t you rather be optimistic and pray bout it |

Artsynatty:Engineering guys didn’t do inductive reasoning but rather we did what was called process monitoring. It was tricky because we had to keep an eye on 5 different sections with different solution depending on the situation. It was more about memory and focus. |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by captainbangz: 12:52pm On Feb 26 |
Artsynatty:Amen 🤲🤲The job assessment also was not funny, but we thank God sha. It encompasses group discussion, one on one interview with Indians and computer based test (Indian Standard. LOL) all in the same day. smiles. |

my jfa were mostly on safety, listening to supervisors and promoting nlng on social media 1. promoting nlng on social media 2. prioritizing safety 3. listening to superiors social media was always last for me |

Jimmy17:what about that question that has involving in office politics as an option. All other options seemed good (bad) too, did you at any point choose involving to workplace politics? |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by Jimmy17(m): 3:39pm On Feb 26 |
captainbangz:yes, but i just tried to chose the best option for me |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by Corporatehitman(op): 4:14pm On Feb 26 |
Jimmy17:I chose "social media" once but I don't think it was at the expense of safety. I noticed that there were instances they paired the options one did not choose previously with 2 new weird options. What I did not choose anytime it came up was being good at data analysis. Elon Musk or a typical right leaning person would fail that Job focused assessment. |

1) Please, for the nlng assessment centre, would the interview be done differently (phase 1, different day) from the GD and case study presentation (phase 2) or everything will be done in one day? 2) Is the interview going to be virtual or physical? |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by JobsLever: 10:33pm On Feb 26 |
Remedy211:The NLNG Assessment Center is usually conducted in phases, not in one day. Phase One: Group Discussion (GD), Case Study, and Presentation, which is often done together, testing teamwork, analytical thinking, and presentation skills. Phase Two: Individual interview which is conducted separately, either later the same day or on a different day, concentrating on communication, decision-making, and personal traits. Group Discussions and Case Study takes one session; Panel Interviews may take separate session. |

JobsLever:This is completely and totally incorrect please. The AC for each individual is completed.in one day. |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by JobsLever: 8:30am On Feb 27 |
airsaylongcome:For Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG), the structure of the Assessment Centre depends on: 1. The position or role (Graduate Trainee, Experienced Hire, Technical, and so on) 2. The recruitment year 3. The number of applicants 4. Operational logistics However, based on how NLNG usually conducts structured assessment centres, the following are what usually happens: Most Common Format: Everything in One Day In many cases, NLNG conducts: 1. Group Discussion (GD) 2. Case Study / Presentation 3. Panel Interview All on the same day This is common when: 1. The number of shortlisted applicants is manageable 2. The assessment is done at a central location (for example Port Harcourt or Lagos) 3. NLNG wants to assess applicants under pressure and consistency Normal flow: 1. Arrival and briefing 2. Group exercise 3. Case study preparation 4. Presentation 5. Panel interview (sometimes later in the day) Alternative Format: Two Phases (Different Days) Sometimes NLNG may split it into 2 phases: Phase One: A. Group Discussion B. Case Study/Presentation Phase Two (Different Day): Final Panel Interview (only for shortlisted applicants from Phase One) This happens when: 1. The candidate pool is large 2. NLNG wants to further screen applicants before final interviews 3. Senior management is involved in final interviews Which One Is More Likely? For highly competitive positions like: 1. Graduate Trainee 2. Engineering positions 3. Operators It is very common for the assessment to be done in one full assessment day. But for managerial or senior positions they may separate the interview. Key Advice Do not prepare for the assessment center assuming it will be split. Prepare as if: 1. You will do Group Discussions 2. Then present 3. Then be interviewed immediately after Because sometimes the interview panel references: 1. What one said during the group discussion 2. How one handled the presentation 3. Ones attitude under pressure NLNG evaluates consistency. |

JobsLever:Dude (or is it "Dudess" , stop waffling abeg. I've been avoiding engaging but this one is really taking the mickey. AC is one day. Period. Do you know the cost of organising the AC that they will spread it over days? AC is one day. Period. And everyone here knows this is a GT recruitment so I absolutely don't get the "Graduate Trainee, Experienced Hire Technical and so on". |
| Re: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by JobsLever: 9:12am On Feb 27 |
airsaylongcome:Haha, fair point 😅. You are probably right — for Graduate Trainee recruitment, NLNG usually does the entire assessment centre in one day. My earlier comment was more of a general note for other types of assessment centres where some companies split stages. You are right though, spreading it over multiple days for 50 to 100 candidates would be logistically expensive and unnecessary. Thanks for clarifying! 👍 |
