Without being foolish to yourself, think about it properly. Did Tinubu just bring his former aid to become the next IG? These positions are naturally controlled by positions in those field. IG steps down and the next in line from the highest position recommended for the job is installed. The man has risen from former Tinubu aid to where he is today which is a position to become an IG.

This is why I feel bad when many people talk down about Tinubu. He is the definition of we rise by lifting others. Many politicians don't do this but check Tinubu's record to see how many people he lifted up to get this position he is today.

While we congratulate the new IGP, one must question if he'll be independent when he's making key decisions. There are some very sensitive positions that needs to be independent of influence. I hope he succeeds.

Trust me if the new IGP is a real professional Tinubu won't hinder him. Has Tinubu stopped Sanwo olu or dictate to him on how to run lagos?
What about the CBN Governor Cardoso, finance Minister Edun, Dave Umahi, Wike? Does Tinubu control their ministries and tell them how to run it?

Although 80% of his mentees have gone to higher places like the Aregbe and fashola you mentioned from lagos local politics to Governor and federal minister, do you expect everyone who have worked with him to still remain?
