INEC Is Under Pressure To Deregister ADC, LP, Others – Igbokwe by Gjrich(op): 10:57pm On Feb 25
Chairman, Board of Trustees of the National Forum of Former Legislators, Raphael Igbokwe, says the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, is under pressure to deregister the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Labour Party and other political parties.

Igbokwe stated this while addressing newsmen shortly after the Federal High Court in Abuja fixed March 24 for ruling on a joinder application in a suit seeking to compel the deregistration of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Accord Party, Zenith Labour Party, ZLP, and Action Alliance, AA, over alleged non-compliance with constitutional requirements.

He said they approached the court to seek clarification and interpretation of some sections of the Constitution as it relates to regulation of political parties, stating that their intent is just to contribute in enriching and expanding the nation’s electoral jurisprudence.

And we felt that INEC should be up and doing. We operate a constitutional democracy in which every entity, body, authority, is expected to carry out the operations according to the provisions of the Constitution.

“And as a country that also runs the rule of law, we are really worried that INEC seems to be wanting to choose and pick which political parties to apply the law. If they could apply the law five years ago in 2021 and they registered 74 political parties, why are they not applying the law now?

“So we expect that at the end of the day, the court has to decide one way or the other, if acted beautifully or otherwise. But we are happy that this is really going to enrich our electoral jurisprudence, that is why we are in court,” he said.

The north has abandoned tinubu and he knows without their votes he's toast. SE is no go area, SS, SW and NC the votes will be divided. So I ask you, do you see any pathway to tinubu's reelection?

He's damn right to be dead scared.

I hope these people will cause another genocidal war in Nigeria especially with Amọda banking on this victimization of opposition parties and his acclaimed one-party system.

I said it back then here that the drug lord has low self-esteem. At the end, I’m right.

It's not about Tinubu but the constitution that says political party that fails to win at least 25% votes in any of the 36 states and FCT or 25% in a LG election in any state of the federation and FCT, should be deregistered.

Has sowore AA ever won anything?

What has ZLP won?

As we speak today, has ADC won anything?

If you don't have a Gov no senator no Reps no LG chairman no councillor, why wasting INEC resources?

Una Dey see who dem call “true democrat”.

The same way he crippled opposition in Lagos State is what he’s trying to replicate at national level.

This shows fear.

The election is concluded already but rigged already. So RIGGED should be the right word and not concluded.

The only way to stop him is if the north accept peter , if not he will rule over us all till the day he leaves this earth.. So arewa over to you , either u forgive igbos for whatever grievances u have and close rank with peter or submit totally to Bola reign till he dies oo.. 2031 na when he will assume live presidency like he did in lagos.. A word is enough for .....
