Arsenal legend Thierry Henry created a delightful moment on live television with Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, who exchanged greetings in Nigerian Pidgin English.

This follows Galatasaray’s dramatic triumph over Juventus in the UEFA Champions League knockout play-offs on Wednesday night

Henry, who was on punditry duty for CBS, interviewed Osimhen after Galatasaray S.K. edged out Juventus F.C. 7–5 on aggregate to book a place in the second round of the UEFA Champions League for the first time in 12 years.

Osimhen netted one of the decisive goals in extra time to help the Turkish side seal qualification. Galatasaray had taken firm control of the tie with a 5–2 victory in the first leg.

"Victor, this is Thierry. First and foremost, how bodi? Bodi dey?” Henry asked.

Clearly amused by the Frenchman’s effort, Osimhen responded with a smile, “Yeah, bodi dey fine.”

The discussion then shifted to a breakdown of the encounter.

As Naija, if you no sabi pidgin....omoh eh....chai. And to think that I couldn't speak it some year back, not to talk of writing in pidgin is wow to me now. I deliberately started writing mainly in pidgin around 7 years ago...and today...I am so fluent. Omoh eh! The language sweet die.

He only went to Barcelona because of the Champions League. Had he won that 2006 Finals, he would have retired at Arsenal or rather not play for any other European Clubs again but would go to America! Why?

Because he wouldn't want to taint what he had at Arsenal with any other European Club.

Remember he was at Monaco, Juventus but will always identify with Arsenal.

That's where he made it and played and had the his best playing days.

Some people really can't speak fluent pidgin it's understandable but you see some, mostly girls like to form for nothing. I just laugh when I see them. I have been speaking and writing pidgin since I can't remember. Even though I literally went to the best schools in my state as a kid but if you need pure English I go still deliver 100% with a special follow come accent sef grin

The only thing I can't speak fluently is Esan my real language and I'm learning though cos it's embarrassing. Sometimes when I'm in the midst of my tribal men in Lagos and they are all speaking in our native dialect while I respond with English. I hear very well but na only speaking dey hard me. Na my parents fault cos they were speaking English to communicate with me instead of the language
