As for the Oppo phone in question, I have also tried contacting the engineer/seller who reached out to me about the deal but his number is currently unreachable which I informed you of this as well when you notified me. I’m equally trying to understand what may have happened…

I want to emphasize that I have never been involved in any criminal activity or had any police case, either online or offline.

The buyer has already closed the case with the police, even if the seller goes to the station, he will be out in less than two hours depending on how fast he can come up with 50k bail or less because as far as the police are concerned, this is now a closed case since the buyer has already done the needful to compensate the victim of the theft.

What is left now should be how to compensate the buyer for the expenses incurred in the closure of the theft case.

A stolen case is a stolen case, until the culprit is being apprehended. As a business owner it is very important ypu own up and tell your side of the story to clear your name. If he said he referred to someone else they won't even charge him but to produce the person he did referral for( this is only going to happen when he has a lawyer and not just him going alone).

A stolen phone case is not something they close up, this buyer was just a victim of circumstance and he can make a huge case out of it. Dont come and play down this talk casually please

Don't let your prospective clients be scared of getting something from you.. But you really fvkd up sha... You put someone for police case and still blocked him after he reached out to you.

How I wish you could come out and say this from wherever you’re hiding. I paid more than a million naira for something I knew nothing about just to get myself out of a case — over a phone I bought for 75K.

I called you several times without any response. I created an element of doubt by calling you immediately after I was told the phone in question was stolen. You blocked my line. Since September 16th, 2025, you never deemed it fit to reach out to me. You suddenly ghosted and started changing numbers. You were unavailable to everyone who tried to reach you for a meet-up to buy items. Even people trying to meet you in the same location to buy items couldn’t reach you.

I remember informing you that I saw different SIM cards in the phone. You said they were SIM cards you used in testing your phones and that you had been looking for them — which I returned to you immediately, less than an hour after I got the phone. I also asked you multiple times after returning the SIM cards that I hoped these phones were not stolen items, and you said you imported them yourself. Never did you mention that what you were giving me was a Nigerian-used device.

That is not true. You sent pictures of the phone yourself and gave one of your associates to deliver it to me in person at the bus stop. Now you’re saying you were only an intermediary.

If that is your position, then come in person and clear your name properly at the police station.
