UEFA includes Osimhen, Sørloth, Tchouaméni, others in Champions League team

UEFA on Thursday named Victor Osimhen in the Champions League team following the conclusion of the Round of 16 playoff second leg tie on Wednesday.


Osimhen was outstanding for Galatasaray as he helped his team to progress to the Champions League Round of 16.

The Nigerian international was named in the Champions League team alongside the likes of Atletico Madrid’s Alexander Sørloth, who netted a hat-trick against Club Brugge.

Real Madrid’s Aurélien Tchouaméni and Atalanta’s Davide Zappacosta were also included in the Champions League team.

Here is the Champions League team after Wednesday’s matches:


Goalkeeper – Jan Oblak (Atletico Madrid).

Defenders – Davide Zappacosta (Atalanta), Odin Bjørtuft (Bodø/Glimt),
Edmond Tapsoba (Leverkusen), and
Weston McKennie (Juventus)

Football is actually more difficult to play now comparing to before, if you use that apparatus to rate them, u won't get correct data, during Okocha time, there was no VAR and some other technicalities in football that we have now, a player scores a goal and Var review and say it's not a goal, but that time, no Var, if ref no see am well, e don enter be say e don enter, nah why players like drogba shine that time, if VAR was in use during drogba time, most of his goals would have been chopped off, because e sabi go off side score goal like no tomorrow 😂
