Lithiumite:first my statement has nothing to do with the president, not everyone is Obi vs Tinubu like I have come to understand most of you are on nairaland. Now why do I have issues with funds just being released to Governors is because most if not most of our governors lack accountability and the we as citizens do not even hold them accountable rather it the presidency we blame for everything even the shortcomings our governors. |

beemedia1:THANKS FOR CONFIRMING WHAT I'VE BEEN TELLING PEOPLE. There's no state you will enter today and not see signs of progress and projects here and there. |

chinchum:Which part of my statement made you feel I was blaming the presidency? If the only thing you can interpret from anything someone post is OBI Vs Tinubu then please don't ever quote me again you hear..some of us don not care for the tribe or religion of who sits on the chair we only what what's best for the nation...I am neither an Obi supporter nor a Tinubu supporter. Now on the reason why I am apprehensive about state governors getting funds from FG- i know it is constitutional and FG is doing their part by releasing funds but why I do not particularly like it is because most of, if not all our governors lack accountability and Nigerians do not even know how to demand accountability from their respective governors rather we shout and blame FG for anything that goes wrong even the ones that is clearly the responsibility of the state governors. What I would have wished for is the FG set up policies or a body(neutral) whose main purpose is to track funds released to state governors and ensure accountability- yes that is the EFCC's job but an agency dedicated solely to this will yield better result. |

LegendHero:Where did you see me mention Tinubu in my statement? What has my apprehension with state governors unaccountability got to do with the president. Please don't quote me ever again and spew rubbish okay.. FG has been releasing tons of billions to state governments for years not yet when things go wrong the average Nigerian heaps all the blame at the FG. How many Nigerians do you know are clamoring for a change in their state governors because he is underperforming, how many Nigerians even care to know how much their state get monthly from the FG- very few...Nigerians do not demand accountability from their governors as much as they do from the FG- Yet the FG keeps giving money to the state government, money which you and I know is not fully utilized...So yes I and not happy when I read that FG release funds to state governors because I do not trust the state governors to use the money judiciously....If you want to hug transformer go and hug transformer. |

Cullinane:And you reached your rotten conclusion based on what? A 2 minute statement from the governor? HE SHOULD MAP OUT HIS ENTIRE AGENDA, BUDGET, AND ACHIEVEMENTS FOR YOU IN 2 MINUTES? OR 30 SECONDS? Because he mentioned flyovers, it means ALL he's building is flyovers? PATHETIC. |

Kemetian:Nonsense, even Gov. Sule knows say #30b is not up to the #4.5b monthly he got in 2021. But he has to praise god tinubu even as he kills the country. |

The APC govt is notorious for throwing money at just about everything, of which there's no positive result. The policy of unlawful exposure and unrestricted access to public funds are some of the problems plaguing our dear country. I bet you, this is the end of what we will hear of this #30 billion. |

Magnetic010:At the boldened, you see why your suggestion earlier was invalid. There is a law backed sharing formula that ensure states and local government gets 48%. There is ICPC, EFCC.,..... how many more do you want Tinubu to set up to track governor's corruption? The attorney general of federation took all governors to court , so they take off their hands from local government funds; that is a more purposeful effort. When you make submissions, ensure it is practical and progressive. Nigerians must demand accountability, i agree with you on that, and put pressure on not just governors, but local government chairpersons, councilors, legislators, judiciary and even the president. There will not always be common interest, but we must strive for common good. |

beemedia1:^^^ Interesting. The same Kwara and Abuja we know or different ones? beemedia1:^^^ All History is required to do is tell the truth about him. Not to be kind - or cruel. Just truthful. And truthful she will be! History will tell the truth about the profligacy, confusion, cruelty and indifference to great human suffering that has defined BAT's administration so far. |

Kemetian:A governor of a tiny state (economically) like Nasarawa just opened his mouth waa without a gun pointed to his head (like El Rufai) and confessed that 30 billion as in billion enters his hand every month. Imagine Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Lagos. And you people will not take pen and paper and start doing calculations so as to hold your governors for bl..k.s to come account for it, No, na FG all of you go dey heckle. |

#30b that's why all you governors has been unproductive because of monthly stipends from federal government. Any state that is not contributing to the federal government should be cut off...Or you get according to your contribution. Kemetian: |

This is the bait, that the drug lord applied to seduce these good for nothing governorrs who are decamping. Tinubu stole from peter ( The Mass of the Nigerian people) to pay Paul ( The greedy politicians and governors) just to buy their support in 2027. While the poorest of the poor is hard hit by the economic hardship influenced by Tinubus removal of subsidy, the governors and politicians are flexing globetrotting and massaging the feet of prostitutes in private aircrafts. The evil repercussion that would visit Tinubu and his generations yet unborn is reserved in the hell. |

It would be a nice read to see what all 36 states are now receiving. Before and after stats. Doesn't matter who as long as the figures are accurate. Some sites under the guise of being original and truthful either cook up fiction or borrow from other sources and put in their own fancy sounding grammar and English never crediting the actual writer/s. I recall former Federal Minister of Finance Zainab Ahmed supplying the figures. I'm almost sure Madame Kemi Adeosun coached her from the sidelines after her cheap demise by the former looter gang. |
