Interesting attempt at rewriting history, but let’s stay focused.

Tinubu said Nigerians shouldn’t re-elect him if he fails to deliver stable electricity. That’s the benchmark he set for himself.

Deflecting to 2019 doesn’t switch the lights on in 2026.

We’re not discussing everyone since 1999, we’re discussing the man who asked to be judged by results
Does your man exist in a vacuum?
Or does he exist in a country where accountability is relegated and tribalistic politics is elevated? Tribalistic politics of seeking accountability from others while simultaneously ignoring accountability from our own idols.

The key issue here is that your Tinubu electricity accountability won’t dent his 2027 chances.

I really don't understand your thought process. I'd love to understand it.

Is Obi the President?
Tinubu boldly declared that we should NOT vote him for second term if he doesn't provide 24/7 electricity. Guess what? Under Tinubu, fraudulent band system was introduced, but the national grid has fallen so far, we don't understand again.
Don't mind those people, they are trying to shift focus and divert your attention from the meat of the matter

The current power minister adelabu is the worst ever power minister in nig.
Re: Operator: Why There’s Currently Poor Electricity Supply Across The Nation by SmartPolician:
Tinubu has succeeded in shifting the federal responsibility of generating, transmitting and distributing power to states and private players without asking which states and private people are actually investing in such a capital intensive infrastructure.

That man hasn't built one power project in 3 years, yet he claims he understands how the economy works. Epileptic power supply will remain in Nigeria for a long time.

It's very unfortunate that this has to happen. A country where gas is produced and sold to other countries.
I suspect a foul play somewhere.

On that mandate you shall collapse! Proper idiots!”

Another interesting deflection, but let’s stay on the promise Tinubu himself made. He said Nigerians shouldn’t re-elect him if he fails to deliver stable electricity, that’s a personal benchmark, not a tribal debate.

Accountability doesn’t disappear just because the political climate is messy or because other politicians also failed. Two wrongs don’t switch the lights on.

As for 2027, whether it dents his chances or not is beside the point, the issue is that Nigerians deserve to judge Tinubu by the promises he made, not the ones you and other of his supporters wish he hadn’t.

The money that the demented Peter Obi used to build beer factory for himself would have been put to better use by building an independent power station in Anambra like he promised when he was sworn in as governor. But time has proven that he lies without shame while always seeking vain glory.

Arostar2023:
Force majeure. You can't sue them. I wonder when Nigeria would diversify from relying mostly on gas. What happened to coal? Canada is generating thousands of megawatts of electricity using their coal power plants...what am I even talking about? Do we even have the manpower to man and maintain any heavy installation? What a country! A country of more 200 million souls.
They deceived many nations with the wicked agenda of global warming to stop using coal and most of the big countries still rely on coal and they make countries like Nigeria to sign agreements that they won't use it to generate power. You see the lies in the world. Now they are saying using AIR CONDITIONING causes global warming and very soon you will start seeing campaign against it.

Funny enough, here in Aba, nothing concern us with your gas. Actually the power has reduced from near 24hrs supply to like 18hrs supply in a day. But that's more light than people experience in two weeks

Is the better electricity situation in Aba due to Geometric power company?

The private company that was licensed by PDP prosperity policies of deregulation and privatisation. Just like Dangote refinery, the telecom sector as well as Virgin Atlantic license for Nigerian carrier.

Should we not all work for politicians to unite behind the brainbox of this prosperous era, when we had cheap petrol, low unemployment, high productivity and less debt burden as well as lower insecurity huh

How Indorama sustains manufacturers, boosts Nigeria’s FX earnings

Indorama Eleme Petrochemicals Limited (IEPL) has emerged as a major value creator in the Nigerian economy. It is responsible for the survival, growth and sustenance of many manufacturing companies in Nigeria today. A large number of plastic and allied firms depend on the Eleme-based company for petrochemical resins (or polymer resins) which serve as their raw materials.

The petrochemical company is just one of the several subsidiaries of Indorama-Nigeria Group, which also comprises Indorama Eleme Fertilizer & Chemicals Limited (IEFCL), Indorama PET Nigeria Limited, and Indorama Port Operations.

Since Indorama Corporation of Indonesia became core investor in the old Eleme Petrochemicals Company Limited (EPCL) in 2006 through privatisation programme of the Federal Government, the group has become a game changer in the Nigerian economy.

The petrochemical company has solved the major challenge facing a number of manufacturers— poor access to raw materials. Rather than scramble for foreign exchange to import inputs, the company ensures that manufacturers have access to their critical raw materials, enabling them to save costs and improve margins.

The major resins used by plastic and allied companies are polyethylene and polypropylene. Indorama produces about 45 grades of these products for various industries. About 600 of such companies in Nigeria depend on IEPL for their survival. They are estimated to have over 90,000 workers.

Tinubu is a failure imaging gas company owing almost 6 trillion naira and Tinubu can not pay them their money, that why the gas company cut shot gas to generate company, now supply few gas to generation company this is the reason for shortage of light across the country and this is the year of tax and Nigeria we still pay tax to this failure President

He cannot do it because his own business survives on consumption. Is that a lie? He has been an importer and I said he deals with cash and carry economics; container economics, imports”.

“All the goods that can be produced in Nigeria, Obi imports them in his supermarkets. That is consumption economics. That kind of person cannot tell you that he is moving you from consumption to production. He will then be committing self-economic suicide and Obi will not do that to himself”.

“So, Obi is deceiving everybody and I can’t take that back because that is true.

NLCreator:
Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections, has defended the purchase of sports utility vehicles (SUVs) for members of the national assembly.

There have been reports that the leadership of the 10th national assembly has bought SUVs for all lawmakers.

Each SUV is said to be valued at N160 million.

The LP had asked members of the party in the national assembly to kick against “wastage”.

While responding to questions during a press conference in Abuja on Monday, the former governor of Anambra said the SUVs are not personal cars of the lawmakers, noting that they are for official use.

“Let me start with the issue of Labour Party members in the house. I have actually discussed this issue with them,” Obi said.

“Surprisingly, I can tell you I heard that these vehicles are official cars. They have to use it. It is meant for office.

“So it is not as if it is their vehicle. They said it is official cars and you are meant to use it while you are in the senate.”

Obi also hinted at contesting for the country’s number one position in 2027, adding that Nigeria deserves dedicated and visionary leaders who will lead the country towards a brighter future.

After almost 3yrs of Bulaba's rule this is the story they are telling. Isn't it obvious we will be hearing the same bullcrap after 8 yrs in office?
I wonder why he didn't invest the money he is throwing away at that coastal road to the moribund power sector.
South Africa invested billions to improve their generating capacity and today they are enjoying the results. I just don't know what's wrong with this country.
