I honestly think this is more about strategy than emotion. If you look at how the US and Israel operate, it feels calculated. Precision strikes on specific targets versus Iran responding with large missile barrages. In a long war of attrition, volume alone does not win, sustainability does. With the economic pressure and internal challenges Iran already faces, escalation seems far more costly for them. De escalation might actually be the smarter move here.
