Unfortunately this is the easy way people in Nigeria see to make money. Being a nuisance online. Having no shame and self respect for yourself.

You’re right. But let’s not sit on a high horse and judge young people for trying to survive the only way they know how.
In a country where graduates roam the streets without jobs, where talent goes unnoticed unless it’s loud, controversial, or extreme, what exactly do we expect people to do? Fold their arms and wait?
The same online act or conduct we criticize has changed lives. Platforms like TikTok and YouTube reward attention. And attention doesn’t always come from being quiet and “respectable.” It comes from standing out.
What some call “nuisance,” others call strategy.
What looks like desperation may actually be marketing.
Sometimes, all a young person has is data, a phone, and boldness.
Instead of shaming them, maybe we should ask why the system makes extreme visibility feel like the only ladder available.
Until opportunities are accessible and merit is rewarded consistently, people will keep using whatever route they believe can get them noticed.
