A video showing the moment the Abia state governor, Alex Otti, lashed out at a journalist, Chika Nwabueze, during a media parley he held, has made the rounds on social media.

During the media parley, Nwabueze stood up and asked the governor to provide verifiable data to show that beyond road infrastructure, he has indeed made economic and positive impact in the state since assuming office in May 2023.

Governor Otti felt irritated by the question and lashed out at Nwabueze. According to him, the journalist is supposed to have the data and ask questions based on the data he has.

‘’You have not said anything. Do you live in Abia? If you live in Umuahia, you are the one that will provide data. he point is that that this media chat is a serious media chat, we are not here to massage opposition."

The journalist is a patriotic citizen, Alex otti don't have anything to show in reality as achievement since he came to office.

The journalist is supposed to do his own findings the bring the statistics to ask the question then the governor will answer based on the statistics he brought not what critics brought according to the journalist. But how would you know that when you’re a yarimo without a number 6 who doesn’t know what he is defending.

The governor should answer simple question and stop making silly excuses

What that journalist is asking for is the impact assessment of Gov Otti's project. A very valid point.
Our Leaders are simply arrogant.

Trust politicians at your own risk.

A harmless question but the governor threw-up into tantrum and insults.

But on a serious note that was a useless question from that journalist.

Nigeria does not have true investigative journalism.
Infact journalists are part of Nigerian big problem, because they are just similar or same with the Nigerian police.

They long investigate matters, but instead they only become partisans to political affiliations
