I'll Be Relocating To Lagos Next Month, Any Advice? by Chygozdegreat(op): 1:15pm On Mar 01
Hello nairalanders I’m planning to relocate to Lagos the city of endless hustle and opportunity.

They say there are greener pastures there, and I believe it. Lagos is a no man’s land; it doesn’t care where you’re from, only what you can offer and how hard you’re willing to work.

It’s a city where dreams are tested, skills are sharpened, and bold moves are rewarded. I’m ready to step out of my comfort zone, embrace the grind, and chase bigger opportunities.
New city. New challenges. New level. wink wink

Lagos is congested. We have other states in Nigeria you can migrate to and still become successful in your hustle.
States like Anambra, Enugu, Ibadan, Imo, Ogun, Kano, PH, Delta are great place to go. You don't have to go to Lagos.
And remove that trâśh mentality from your head that Lagos is a no man's land. Lagos belongs to the YORUBAS. They control everything there and decides the economic and political direction of the state.

Relocate to Abia still. The governor is working. In fact, he’s the best in Nigeria. Public infrastructure are excellent. Social amenities are the best in
Nigeria. Electricity is 24 hours. Business and job opportunities are on the same level with London and Dubai.

So, leave Lagos alone please and go to Abia. The governor of Lagos is APC and I’m sure you know that everything about APC is evil. Go to Abia my brother and leave Lagos alone. Thanks for your understanding.

Few brave Christians are left.
I have respect for the Igbo Muslims who defy everything and remain rooted to their land .

Heeeey. We are still complaining of over population in Lagos. Yet you too still dey plan come join us.

How can we hold our governors accountable for the development of our respective states/regions. Lagos is over populated for crying out loud.

Ujhwhw..okay I will advice you

I relocated to lagos since December 2nd last year.

My observations were it was very smelly , because of the drainages were bad , people pop inside those drainages and due to pouring of dirt inside the drainages are dirty and causes bad odur in the city.

Secondly it messes with your mental sanity because if you are the working type. You need to wakeup very early as 4am to bath so you can beat early hours traffic and get to work ontime and also that's the time you get cheap transport.

Houses are very expensive to rent in Lagos , even with one million naira you can't get a good apartment.

Transportation is mostly expensive in the evening due to crowd so no standard transport... Place you spent 500 in the morning you can spend 1500 in the evening.

You won't have time to cook so you eat outside constantly.

Avoid some areas because some area boys can take advantages of you and collect your valuables.

Foodstuffs are expensive.

There is light tho in some places like lekki axis where in stay.

You get good pay and high pay in lagos.. opportunity are there but you must hustle.

If you want to survive in Lagos .. plan well, live below your means , see how u can connect with people who are far ahead of you so that they will give you advice.

Most importantly learn to mind your business and be very cautious of your surroundings and self because small loose guard you don loose your item.

The major issue I believe Lagos government should intervene is the cost of house rent.

You may be earning 600k but house rent will eat half of your yearly earnings .. dedent house is from 2.5m with estate charges.

Cheaper houses are far but transport will eat your money and also traffic.

So no good road networks like the northern part so that why traffic is normally constant.

Money dae Lagos oh but the town has a way it takes it back if you don't plan well
