I can never give my money to someone to start a business. I can only give the person money to support his or her business. I wonder why people dey marry person wey no get work keep for house. This is what am battling with currently but this is my girlfriend I save up to 8 million with her last year at the end of the year when I wanted to collect the money 700k can be accounted for and mind u I gave her over 300k last year and her birthday is this month she is still asking me if there is no a special treatment every year I do gave her family money during fasting she as been asking me about the fasting money since as if nothing even concern her

In the first place, the husband is reckless
You shouldn't have just handed over the money to her like a gift under the guise of "start a business"
You should have sat her down, agreed with her on a business she has interest in and then go along with her to set up the shop
Leaving her to do it all by herself will increase the cost and overwhelm her which is what has led to the situation
Unfortunately this will strain the marriage as it will affect her self-esteem just as it will affect your peace of mind too
Go easy with her. Both of you should talk openly about what happened that led to this disaster and how to avoid future occurrence
But pls man, don't fight or beat her because of this. Except she's been showing attitude of laziness and carelessness before

Unless a woman has obviously shown real ability in managing a business, or has gotten training in it and she shows the zeal, don't waste money trying to "FORCE" abi invest in a new business for her.

You need to have a conversation with her (wife) and then support her efforts with something - but she has to be financially invested too - if a person doesn't have anything to lose, they don't value what's in their hands.

These are the kind of conversations y'all don't have during dating - maybe she would have benefitted more from getting a skill than business.

If I were the man, my 50/50 family responsibilities and bills still stands. I will keep providing my part and let her provide hers, but the day she didn't provide or play her Part, then that's her business, my money won't come out. You can see and analyse if she has a spark for doing something.

Also, talk her, model her, train her mind about it. Make her brain feel strong. She should learn under someone and monitor dis process. Afterwards she can start her own stuff.
