I'm making serious plans to come to Lagos next month in search of a job because I'm really in need of one. And that will be my first time there. I'm a B.Sc. holder with some professional certifications and relevant skills. I can forward my full CV to you on request. I need your connection in anyway you can. Scammers, fraudsters and manipulators, please avoid me. You won't get me. |

Build a business. Start small where you are. Lagos is overpopulated and it stinks. It's so messed by traffic. Start from whatever you have where you are and give yourself time. Don't go there to become a slave to someone in the name of job when your business can stand and thrive very well in the next five or seven years. |

Imattertoo:Hmmm! I totally understand you. However, I still feel Lagos won't work for you. The first thing is accommodation consideration. Where are you going to stay over there if you don't have anything right now? Even if you go get a job today, how much are they going to pay you? How much can you save from that money to pay rent and feed yourself? How much can you save for the future? At the end of the day, it's going to be a total time-wasting venture. Don't leave your state. Instead, relocate to your village and trade between your village and the state capital. Check out what you can buy from the local communities and sell to people in the city, e.g., palm oil, palm kernel, garri, etc. Do group contribution from there, then get a mini bus through hired purchase arrangement. You can still trade in palm oil even as a commercial driver. I can go on and on. Listen, you can succeed right where you are. Don't go to Lagos or any other place. Stay in your state that you have your people around and also know how to work around things there. You'll be more respected in your state than anywhere else. |

I checked your other thread. You have good portfolios and there are skills in there you can work remotely notwithstanding the location Why is that difficult to get a job with those portfolio wherever you are. Not discouraging you but coming to Lagos with no preparation will make you more mad. If you have plans for coming then its fine |
