iyaoge24:You know you can always do it the old-fashioned way 😂 All you need to do is go to your bank branch and ask them to help you print six months of your account statements and a bank reference letter. They can even send you a digital copy (PDF) by email if possible but I think hard copy would be better scan and use |

rowlandwhy:If you state medical as your purpose for visiting Canada, the visa officer will expect a letter from a Canadian doctor confirming your medical treatment for childbirth plan. However, most Canadian doctors are unlikely to issue such a letter without proper arrangements, especially since many hospitals are already struggling with limited space for residents. Because of this, many people choose to apply for a regular tourist visa instead then arrange for childbirth. |

Hello guys, I am currently filling the online application for a visa renewal having previously visited Canada twice. On getting to the document upload section, all the requirements from the previous application were still listed contrary to my expectation of it being treated under CAN plus with just few documents required. Kindly clarify. Thank you. |

adelforreal:Very strange Make sure you carefully review all the questions and how you answered them it works almost like an if/else statement. You qualify for CAN+ because you travelled to Canada within the last 10 years. When submitting a standard Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) application online, during the questionnaire section, once you select “Yes” to: (1) Have you held a Canadian visitor visa in the past 10 years? or (2) Do you currently hold a valid U.S. nonimmigrant visa? The system will then display questions related to CAN+ eligibility.

Good Afternoon Great people. Please i need your help. I applied for a Canada tourist visa for myself and my wife and we were unfortunately denied Visa. Reasons for denial is as follows : " Applicant has failed to demonstrate the source of funds and establish their source of income. Financial information is not supported with sufficient documentation to support the account balance on file. I have concerns with the Applicant's access to funds. I am not satisfied that the Applicant's assets and financial situation are sufficient to support the stated purpose of travel" Currently i Consult for 2 Oil servicing companies and my renumeration comes in 100% USD for one of them while the second comes in 60% USD and 40% naira. For the application, i submitted only the USD bank statement without a pay slip. Please guys help me advise on why the visa was denied and if i can re apply immediately what are the right documents to add. |

Shemadex:At any stage of the process, did you do any biometrics (fingerprints)? If yes, check the Biometric Instruction Letter (BIL) given to you by"the representative" from IRCC. Some Facebook agents try to take it back after the person has done BIometric hahahah I have seen it all trust me It typically contains your Unique Client Identifier (UCI) |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by amnotapervert(m): 3:49pm On Mar 02 |
lantres000:Good afternoon boss. Please I write a lot just take your time and read hahahah From the refusal reason, this is clearly a source of funds issue, not that you don’t have money. 2025/2026 is a period when IRCC wants to see every possible supporting document they do not make assumptions. You have to prove everything clearly and completely. You submitted only your USD statement without: (1) Consultancy contracts (2) Company letters (3) Payslips/invoices (4) Tax documents So IRCC saw money but couldn’t confirm where it came from or if it’s stable income. That’s why they said they’re not satisfied with your financial situation and access to funds. Also, since part of your income comes in Naira, not submitting that account may have made your profile look incomplete. You can reapply immediately, but don’t use the same documents. Next time include: (1) 6 months USD + Naira statements Letter from both oil servicing companies confirming: You work with them, Your payment structure (100% USD / 60% USD + 40% naira) and How long you’ve been working with them Since 40% of your income comes in Naira from one company, not showing that account makes your financial profile incomplete. (2) Consultancy contracts If they see random USD inflows without explanation, it can look like: Third-party funds or Temporary deposits Or borrowed money (3) Company letters confirming your remuneration structure (4) Tax clearance (if available) Strong cover letter explaining your income and trip plan Once you properly link your deposits to your job, your chances will improve very well |

Wow! thank you so much for such a detailed response. This is Super impressive. But in my consultancy, we are not paid with payslips, but with Timesheet(My payment comes per day and its usually logged in a timesheet where you are paid at the end of the month) Do i submit the timesheet as a back up for the payslip? amnotapervert: |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by amnotapervert(m): 7:43pm On Mar 02 |
lantres000:Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss If your consultancy doesn’t issue payslips, your timesheets can act as proof of income but you need to make it clear to IRCC. Here’s what you should do: Submit the timesheets showing: Your daily rates, Days worked and Total monthly payment Add a company letter from the HR partner of your consultancy confirming: You work as a consultant and Payment is based on timesheet/days worked and Amounts are paid monthly and the Duration of your engagement You need to remove every possible doubt from IRCC about you and how you obtained your funds. If possible, clearly show the payments reflected in your 6 months bank statements so the officer can easily match the deposits to your timesheet totals. If you get paid once a month, clearly state that in your Proof of Funds (POF) explanation letter and make sure it matches what appears on your bank statement. For example, you can write: “I am paid once every month as the amount of work I have done on my timesheet, and my salary is deposited into my account on the first of each month, as reflected in my bank statements.” Everything should align your explanation, your employment letter, and your bank statement so there are no inconsistencies. I know it might sound extreme, but put yourself in the shoes of an IRCC officer reviewing visa applications. They may have over 100 files to assess in a week. They do not have time to carefully analyze finances that do not add up at first glance. If something looks inconsistent or unclear immediately, it can raise concerns. Make it simple, clear, and easy to understand. Basically, the timesheet + company letter = your payslip substitute. As long as they can see where the money comes from, it strengthens your application. Provide every possible document that links the consultancy, your job, you personally, and the money entering your account. For 2024/2025/2026 applications, IRCC wants to see complete transparency. Make sure everything makes sense so that anyone reviewing your profile has no doubt about how the money entered your account, who is paying you, and the nature of the job you do. |

Hello friends i applied for a visiting visa for my parents. please what are the list they need to go to the VFS office with aside the biometrics request letter and passport id and photo graph i tried applying for an appointment for them but the appointment website said i have been banned |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by amnotapervert(m): 3:54pm On Mar 03 |
DavidHume:About the “Banned” Appointment Website Issue, can you explain where you are applying from and how many login attempts were made? Were you using a VPN or refreshing the page repeatedly? From my little experience, this is quite common with the VFS booking system. It usually happens when there are too many login attempts, use of a VPN, or repeated page refreshes. I believe it is typically a 24–48 hour temporary ban. If it is still happening after that period, you should contact VFS. https://services.vfsglobal.com/nga/en/nga/contact-us Multiple booking attempts within a short time are usually the main cause. Please someone correct me if I am wrong

My younger sister is a permanent Resident and she will be giving me an invitation letter. I will be staying in her house. ( she is renting a 3bedroom house with her family in Moncton, Newbrunswick) I own a primary school in Festac Lagos. I have a valid US B1/B2 visa, I also have a 10years UK visa. All my kids are grown and live in the US, i am here with my husband only, but he isn't traveling with me. Please, how much is ideal to have in my account for Canada visit visa? What documents are required from me? Is it required for money to be in my business account and also in my personal account? Like how much are we looking at? I have never applied for Canada visa before. |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by adelforreal: 8:51pm On Mar 03 |
Yes, i did. Maybe that's where the issue lies. However, i later obtained multiple visas from the country in question and have since travelled with it. I stated all this whilst filing the form. Thank you. agabusta: |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by agabusta: 9:13pm On Mar 03 |
adelforreal:I suspect that is the issue based on some cases I've observed in the past. People that had active US visas and even many past US visas but was treated through the standard processing because of one refusal or the other they bagged long ago. |
