What do you think they do with the ransom money that people pay them? They buy better weaponry. That's why they can challenge government well well.

When all of you nigerians in the village and city stop being afraid of them, and when government does not negotiate or pay them anything...(which government does because if they refuse to pay, and they kill their victims...people will blame government still)...that is the day they will lose their power.

I have said it many times on this site...make we stop paying ransom or extortion. But far too many people are scared of losing loved ones or losing their lives...so they pay.
