Arsene's Wenger new offside rule has been APPROVED and will be used in the Canadian Premier League!

A player will ONLY be offside if he has FULLY passed the last defender, so it won't be decided based on a body part anymore.

NEW RULES EXPLAINED
VAR Expansion: VAR is now authorized to intervene for incorrectly awarded corners (if the review is immediate) and second yellow cards (where there is a clear factual error leading to a red card).

5-Second Countdown: Referees will initiate a visual 5-second countdown for throw-ins and goal-kicks if they perceive deliberate delay. Exceeding the limit results in a turnover of possession (the opponent gets the throw-in) or a corner kick for the opposition.

10-Second Substitution Rule: Substituted players must exit the pitch within 10 seconds of the board being shown. If they fail to do so, the incoming substitute cannot enter until the first stoppage after one minute of play has elapsed.

Wenger's "Daylight" Offside Trial: The radical offside rule—where an attacker is only offside if their entire scoring body is ahead of the defender—will begin trials in the Canadian Premier League starting in April 2026.

Injury Treatment Rule: Players receiving on-field assessment for an injury must remain off the field for one minute after play restarts to deter tactical delay

The 5 second rule for corners is impossible to implement.

You mean if 5 seconds elapse on this side of the field, a corner is given to the opponent on the other side of the field? Maybe it's just me who doesn't understand.

All the above rules are possible except the corner switch for opponent after a 5 seconds countdown as explained by Arkmanbuddy. I suppose it can be turned to goal kick instead. All this new rules are a welcome development in modern football where players are getting cunning everyday.

Next season will be a good one for Barcelona FC

Not approved, but put on trial in Canada league

Football rules needs to be improved upon at all times.
Coaches are expected to brainstorm on policies that will make the game better
All means to curb players tactics are highly welcomed.

I support this rules with everything in me. Delay tactics has cost a lot of football matches.
